You must post before you leave

Be nice. Assume others have good intent (within reason).

Block or ignore posts, comments, and users that irritate you in some way rather than engaging. Report if they are actually breaking community rules.

Use content warnings and/or mark as NSFW when appropriate. Most posts with content warnings likely need to be marked NSFW.

Most 196 posts are memes, shitposts, cute images, or even just recent things that happened, etc. There is no real theme, but try to avoid posts that are very inflammatory, offensive, very low quality, or very "off topic".

Bigotry is not allowed, this includes (but is not limited to): Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Sexism, Abelism, Classism, or discrimination based on things like Ethnicity, Nationality, Language, or Religion.

Avoid shilling for corporations, posting advertisements, or promoting exploitation of workers.

Proselytization, support, or defense of authoritarianism is not welcome. This includes but is not limited to: imperialism, nationalism, genocide denial, ethnic or racial supremacy, fascism, Nazism, Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, etc.

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

I'm curious about the "flute accompaniment." What tune will they play for the big moment?

[–] bizarroland@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago (1 children)

There's a video of it out somewhere. It was pretty freakin' brutal.

[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.blahaj.zone 33 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Only clip of the video I can find is in this podcast:

Facebook reel

Instagram reel

Holy shit, I did not realize this was real

Well, one, because the flyer looks like a joke/spoof, and it's using an image with the Shutterstock watermark in it. I thought it was a joke because it looks like a joke.

And two, because as someone with danglies, it's hard to imagine wanting to be kicked in the danglies. Lol

[–] FurryMemesAccount@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Then again, are you planning to get rid the aforementioned danglies ? If not, how could you properly get in her boots ?

[–] dharmacurious@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 day ago

I plead the 5th.

But also, very fair point.

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

I imagine something like that old Peter and the Wolf cartoon where each character is represented by a different wind instrument

[–] TTimo@lemmy.today 17 points 2 days ago

If you have a massive inflammation doesn't that compromise the surgery?

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 37 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Is it best to avoid getting kicked in the nuts prior to having surgery performed on them?

[–] als@lemmy.blahaj.zone 42 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The balls themself are discarded but the scrotum skin is used, so I imagine having that bruised would cause issues

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I'm pretty sure they do the bilateral orchiectomy, then let you recover, then do bottom surgery? Maybe? Maybe not

[–] ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.zip 13 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I had everything done at once there wasn't any kind of partly done with recovery in between

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Well.. there it is. Thanks for the correct info!

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

How about a party beforehand?

[–] ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 days ago

My party was spending the month leading up to it panicking to have as much sex as I could in case something went wrong

Depends on the surgeon and your own preferences. I'll likely be getting an orchio beforehand because surgery waiting lists for vaginoplasty are 3+ years for my preference of surgeon

[–] zaphod@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 day ago

Best case: You just want your balls removed, you end up in the ER, they remove them before your scheduled surgery.

Worst case: You want a vaginoplasty, but you end up in ER from getting kicked in the balls, they remove your balls and your scheduled surgery has to be postponed.

[–] Delphia@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Well if they rupture one it could complicate things.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

Makes them swell up, easier to grab onto and yank

[–] halfapage@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (4 children)

next time please donate the balls to the people in need :(

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 14 points 2 days ago

Lots of cis men don’t have any balls - see: Andrew Tate

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

You pay for the surgery and you can have my balls

[–] marduk@lemmy.today 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

These ain't your daddy's Rocky Mountain Oysters. Or are they?

[–] Godric@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

[–] astropenguin5@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

[–] Gork@sopuli.xyz 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Execution style? Are there other kinds of styles?

[–] Captain_Stupid@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

Yes there is for example also the Olympic style.

[–] flambonkscious@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Queens park gate seems like the ideal place too. What's the better they've got those stock things to hold onto hands and head (sorry, I'm low on words today, and it's only 11am!)
