All communities were created with the goal of increasing media literacy and media pluralism.

The accessibility of email might allow you to answer your boss from the cottage dock, but it has also destroyed what was once a boundary between work hours and the rest of life. We are, most of us, beholden to the almighty ping or ploop, signals that can trigger both a reward response (dopamine) and a stress response (cortisol); and if that sounds a lot like a toxic relationship, that’s the point.

I never understood people putting Teams on their personal phone when they don't have to, and people answering email or Teams messages when on vacations.

I also find funny the Out Of Office messages saying stuff like I won't be able to answer emails during my vacations as I won't have Internet access.

When I'm in vacations, I'm not answering emails or any message from work, Internet access or not, and my OOO message will just say that I'm on vacations. You shouldn't expect me to work during my vacations by default.

Also, OOO messages that say I'm on vacations so expect some delay to my answers. Lol I expect no answer at all during your vacations, take your goddamn vacations goddamnit.

Company stuff stays on the company laptop, and the company laptop stays in the bag when i'm off the clock

Technically I can access my email through the company website on my phone, but also fuck that I don't open anything until I come back from break.
