When in doubt, use a reverse image search to try to find the original version. Repeat offenders will have their posts removed, be temporarily banned from posting, or if all else fails, be permanently banned from posting.
- Attributions include, but are not limited to, watermarks, links, or other text or imagery that artists add to their comics to use for identification purposes. If you find a comic without any such markings, it would be a good idea to see if you can find an original version. If one cannot be found, say so and ask the community for help!

The beginning rage baited me
Now name all instances where the violent overthrow of a repressive system did not result in it being replaced by another one.
Who said anything about overthrowing the whole system? There are plenty of examples of people who got what they wanted by violence, like the suffragettes or the IRA
Didn't the IRA want to reunify north-ireland with Ireland? What did they get that they wanted?
I'm sure they would have got that if they just asked nicely instead
I never said that violence isn't sometimes required. I just think that the IRA is not a good example in this case, since they never achieved anything except a lot of dead innocent people.
The idea that "only violent regimes overthrow violent regimes" proves OP right.

As soon as you tell me the number of instances where the peaceful overthrow of a repressive system did resulted in it being replaced by another one, but also: Ireland, both times. Also Italy, again both times. Almost as if violence or the lack thereof isn't actually the deciding factor.
I came hear to check whether someone already gave this answer. Thanks. :)

“Asking nicely” vs violence is a false dilemma.
There was a point to be made here but if you’re not going to treat the material seriously and just make a straw man out of your opposing view, don’t bother.
To be fair, we're perhaps at the most viable moment for nonviolent "passive" revolutions. Our economical system is giant and needs constant growth not to crash, while having a too high inertia to adapt. We only need to make a general strike or a general stop on overconsumption (everyone only buying the very essential, like food and medication) to create enough chaos to take down the ones with power.
Don't believe me? Just look at how desperate corporations and governments get when some sector shrinks a few percent points, or when people reduce consumption of something. Also look at the obsession of monitoring and understanding our consumption habits, especially from younger people, in order to prepare in advance and never go down a single bit.
Well I'm french, in my country strikes are considered violent actions.
As is always the case, it's the oppressors not the oppressed that set the level of violence.
You don't get to decide whether your actions will be violent or not, it's all about how the state will react to them. If they start sending riot police at you with orders to be as brutal as possible, legislating against your strikes, sending organizers to jail, killing some of your protesters, the non violent aspect might collapse quite fast. Or at least that's what happens when we organize mass strikes or student protests in France, and we have a pretty big history of that :)
I understand, but I mean a different kind of pressure. Breaking the economy and letting it bleed. No need to agglomerate at places. The police would have nowhere to act. Invading people's homes and forcing them to do things isn't viable at large scale.
I don't mean that any method is better or worse. I support all of them. However, we have the overlooked power to pressure by taking the economy at hostage by making a "consumption strike" or/and a general work strike. This power grows stronger the larger our economies become
