I like summer, because the heat doesn't really bother my and I'm not perpetually cold.

For some areas of the country, Spring and Fall is where the real treasure of climate rests.

I like summer because I can wear something skimpy, it's light out, and it's just generally the season people tend to be out doing stuff and having fun. I also love spring.

Winter is the worst. It's too cold, too dark, generally miserable, and everyone just wants to sleep it away. Autumn is fine though

Ok summers are bad now but man there was something special about walking outside on a sunny day with some of your friends and no plans. Even as an adult, no plans and good weather is a recipe for a good time.

Hard disagree. In summer plants are doing a lot of cool things as are the insects and all that activity invites many interactions with larger animals also. Whereas in the winter almost everything closes shop and goes dormant which makes invasive ne’er-do-wells like Youngia japonica and Lamium amplexicaule more prominent.

I grew up in the northern part of the USA. Summer is also when we didn’t have to bundle up in 8 layers.

A lot of us like sundress / bikini season.

Spring & fall were generally the planting/harvest season so work was a LITTLE lighter in the summer.

All that said, fuck this heat. I’ll take cold any day.

Maybe if global warming hadn't reached this point it'd be enjoyable.

You know what else sucks? beaches. By most individual metrics they are a shitshow, but when you add all these ngatives together in peoples minds, they end up with a positive impression somehow. Do I want to go sit in sand in full sun, consume sandy food and lukewarm drinks, with limited access to normal amenities, listening to other peoples dipshit music, closely packed together with pasty bloated whale like humans without clothes? No I dont.

I like summers as in - long warm sunny days where I can hangout in a t shirt and shorts and do fun outdoor activities for a few months.

I don't like summers as in - If I step outside I'm soaked in sweat immediately and run the air conditioning nonstop to still be kind of warm inside. Where the only enjoyable time was 2 weeks of spring like weather and 2 weeks of fall like weather between brutal winters and summers (I'm exaggerating a little).

I think it depends on where you live. I have visited places where summer is the best season. I live where summer is the worst season.

Completely disagree. Even if your working and don't have "summers off" like you used too. Summer time weekends heading to the lake, going outdoors for a hike or a picnic. Just generally having the sunshine on you is still far far far better than a winter world that becomes black and white for a few months.

If summer wasn't better than winter in pretty much every way, S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) would be most common in summer instead of winter.

The fuck's a "season"?

Where I live, winter means:

• Freezing cold weather.
• Snow/slush/ice/sleet/freezing rain.
• Bad road conditions.
• Cloudy skies.
• No sunshine for days or weeks at a time.
• Cold/flu season.
• Gets dark outside at/before 5pm.

I hate all those things. I love summer because it’s the opposite.

Naaaah I hate being in the cold for extended periods of time. I moved away from the north because I hated the winters.

At least in summer you can go out and do something without having to bundle up. I hate having to put on layers to just go for a walk.

Early Autumn/Late Spring is peak.
The height of any season is (usually) bad.

I liked summer back when it was the only season that was tolerable to be outside in as a kid living in the Northeast. Now it's the only season where I live that's intolerable to be outside in so I'm all good on it.

I didn't change. Fucking summer changed. There's a South Pacific hurricane season now. Everyone's talking about climate change like it's a distant threat. The climate has already changed. I whine about it very little because most localities have it way worse than we do in southern California.
