Unfortunately I have heard some of the shit that muslim immigrant parents tell their kids. And it's not only about Jews either. I have a 2nd gen Iranian friend who constantly heard growing up that Kurds were scourge of the earth and are responsible for everything wrong with Iran. Now that friend of mine was intelligent enough to reject that racism later in life but you can imagine that growing up and constantly hear your parents going on and on about how horrible Jews, Kurds or whatever group are, is gonna leave a strong impact. I hear how Jewish children in Stockholm fear for their life daily going to school now while a few decades ago they didn't need to. Some live in a reality where security follow them to and from school to make sure they are not attacked for being Jews. Lots of Swedish Jews have moved to Israel in recent years with their main motivation being safety. It breaks my heart how Europe has once again become unsafe for Jews. But this time it's not because of the natives.

These two statements are not the same. The first is feeling unsafe, the second is that it is unsafe.

I have no doubt about the first one, Jewish children probably don't feel safe. However I call into question your latter statement, and also question how much influence Israeli media has on making Jewish people feel unsafe outside of Israel.

Even with the OP story, they burned 4 private ambulances in a car park. It wasn't attacking people, it was an attack against a business. That's more like a protest than an assault on someone's safety.

They're not the ones destroying ambulances with people inside. They're not the ones exploding pagers. They're not the ones infiltrating the latest iPhones. Israel makes people all over the world feel unsafe.

It's incredible that you are doubting that Jews are unsafe in Europe. Just search on the web for antisemitic attacks against Jews in Europe and you will find lots of news worse than this specific one in the OP. I would specifically recommend reading interviews with Jewish leaders telling about the hate crimes that they experience on a near daily basis. If you want one specific event that actually threatened human life then I can link you to the 2017 Gothenburg Synagogue attack where Palestinians and syrians threw firebombs at a Synagogue where Jewish youth were currently having a youth event.

And when it comes to Israel we are on the same side here. Isteal is horrible. Isreal is a good explanation for why Muslims in Europe are antisemitic. But it's an explanation, not a good justification. I don't doubt that some of the 9/11 survivors turned out to become great haters of Muslims after the attack. That's a good explanation, but not a good justification for hatred.

A small number of events does not mean they are unsafe. Your example resulted in no deaths nor injuries and occurred 9 years ago.

I would agree that antisemitism is on the rise and attacks such as these are becoming slightly more common, as well as more day to day confrontations, but I don't think it's significant enough to say "Europe is unsafe for Jews". It is concerning, and needs to be monitored, but by and large the region is not unsafe.

How do you define safe? The Jewish student union at Vienna university needs police guards every time they have a get together since they have received so many threats. Police guarding when they have a movie night. That is absolutely insane. With the police guards they are quite safe yes. But if the environment they live in requires them to take precautions like this, is that environment really safe?

If you have to hide your Jewish identity when you are out and about in public to be safe. Is your environment really safe? If you have to inform the police anytime you have even a private Jewish community event to be safe? Is your environment really a safe one? I would argue no, if you have to go to these lengths for your safety you are not in a safe location. Arguing otherwise would be like saying a certain location is safe for women because despite there being full of rapists on the streets at night the women can simply stay inside at night or be escorted by a man. That's not true safety.

While the horrible genocidal actions of Israel certainly put gasoline on the fire, antisemitism has been common among muslims even before modern Israel or even the Zionist ideology was founded. It's right there in the Quran. Among many Quran quotes here is one:

Quran 5:82 "Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the idolaters."

There is a reason almost the entirety of the native Jews of pretty much every middle eastern country fled to Israel. Being a Jew in the middle east was a constant hardship.

But that's even beside the points. It's always wrong to hate a group as a whole. If someone says they hate muslims because some muslims are terrorists. That's just as wrong as hating Jews because some Jews support Israels genocidal actions.

I'm not saying that there aren't any negative writing about the jews in the Quran. But this passage is saying that believers of the truth(Islam) are hated most by the Jews and the pagans.

There is a reason almost the entirety of the native Jews of pretty much every middle eastern country fled to Israel. Being a Jew in the middle east was a constant hardship.

Jews and Muslims had cohabitated the region in relative peace since the 7th century under the dhimmi system . Up until 1948 nearly a million Jews lived integrated lives across the Arab world in peace. Arab nationalism didn't really exist as a cohesive construct until the establishment of the Israeli state.

That's just as wrong as hating Jews because some Jews support Israels genocidal actions.

Right, but the Israeli state is the main actor conflating the state with the people.
