You know the admins have lives right and Lemmy is 100% a volunteer thing. Having a response SLA isn't a thing.

This. :) Although they added me recently because they had put out a call for volunteers and I responded, and apparently I didn't scare them too badly. ;-)

Maybe you should take OP up on his offer to help too?

[-] ieh@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

Maybe my fellow admins might wish to do so, but I'm a new admin and hardly in a position to bring on more.

I responded to the call from the admins for volunteers, so it's always possible.

Yeah, just wanted to nudge this in a slightly more constructive direction ๐Ÿ˜

How dare you! This is the internet! We only make personal attacks here! Also, on that note, your mother smells of elderberries. :)

But on a serious note: <3

Yes, they are aware. Hence the "do you guys and halfgals need help?" offer.

They're acknowledging that people are busy, and instead of being demanding they're offering help.

That's an interesting take on getting a reply. lol.

I don't see that you made a reply to the ticket. Does this mean your issue has been resolved?

[-] Patnou@lemmy.world -1 points 4 weeks ago

Lol like a week after. I fixed it myself. But what if someone had a non fixable issue it would take a month to get a reply?

[-] ieh@lemmy.world 0 points 4 weeks ago

I already mentioned that I was recently added, did I not?

Also, please do not assume that because a particular issue did not get addressed quickly that NO issues get addressed.

I'm glad to hear your issue has been resolved.

No. Ok. I didn't see how it could be read wrong. But I know that. But I was making the case for maybe you guys and gals need more help. I wasn't getting on to you guys and gals. It's kinda like watching a bartender pouring her first beer from tap and it has a shit load of foam. So you ask how long have you been doing this or something. And you give her some pointers on how to hold it correctly and everything. But even that can be misconstrued as telling someone how to do their job.
