The train has left the station? Fine. That's definitely not the train I want to be on.

"The train has left the station, so I must profit immensely from it."

Incredible. I chuckled at that first paragraph for being extreme satire. Then read the rest.

It's just not possible to outdo reality anymore.

I cannot wait for this to become a huge critical and commercial failure. It has the potential to give AI the massive setback it deserves.

I'm trying to decide if the acting would be worse if it was the real Gal Gadot or an AI version...

[-] magnetosphere@fedia.io 9 points 1 hour ago

That is a surprisingly difficult question, yet also fun to think about!

Is this photo of her AI or if not what is wrong with her face? I can't put my finger on it but its off, it gives me sound garden / black hole sun vibes and the heebeejeebees somehow

[-] Almacca@aussie.zone 32 points 2 hours ago

Yeah, that's not career suicide at all. She'll be working with The Daily Wire next.

[-] KnitWit@lemmy.world 9 points 1 hour ago

I mean, can you name a movie she’s been in since Wonder Woman? Literally the last thing I can remember from her was the video of she put out during covid of celebrities looking for attention.

[-] FluidBeef@quokk.au 1 points 31 seconds ago

She did some of those fake streaming blockbusters that no-one you know has ever watched or even heard of.

[-] StillAlive@piefed.world 3 points 1 hour ago

Did you forget the Disney movie she did? Dang, what was it called?

[-] KnitWit@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago

Haha, I did forget that one. Was it snow white? I remember hearing it didn’t do very well.

The change towards AI entertainment is inevitable, I for once can't wait for all that low quality crap that is release every year to be fully-AI so I can filter it out, and stuff with real artistic merit and passion becomes easier to find

How so? Because there's going to be 10x more slop out there, none of it labeled as slop. And every safe space you have now will be invaded by slop pretending to be made by real people.

[-] PiraHxCx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 14 minutes ago

the no-slop will be labelled no-slop

[-] pdxfed@lemmy.world 1 points 28 minutes ago

The cool thing is, once it's shown there is no market for abstract, disjointed, unhuman stories, everyone who is trying to push and normalize this will move on to the next carcass and try to feed or go back to selling stars or whatever.

[-] NuclearDolphin@lemmy.ml 1 points 12 minutes ago

so I can filter it out, and stuff with real artistic merit and passion becomes easier to find

I got bad news for ya

[-] PiraHxCx@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 7 minutes ago

only if you don't know the lengths I go through to make my lists nor how familiar I am with movie/series databases

[-] Eternal192@anarchist.nexus 3 points 1 hour ago

She can't act anyway and even AI might not be enough to help her.

[-] orbituary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 hour ago

She'll be joining Denise Richards career path soon.

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
