I will tell you now we captured everything SIP related when I worked in that field. RTP and RTCP. We could reconstruct the VoIP packets and play back your calls whenever we liked with minimal auditing required. Every call is timestamped and logged against telecom switch port. Even Stallman would have been subject to that. He wasn't special, because no one was special.

amule has recently become active again, with a 3.0 release after years of not being updated.
