President Trump got in the face of ABC’s Rachel Scott after she asked him a question about the rationale behind his national midterm voter bribe.

“Mr. President, on the checks: The U.S. is still $40 trillion in debt. If your economic policies are working, why do you need an incentive for people to turn out to vote?” she asked Thursday night.

Stand your ground laws, do your thing.

Or at the very least pepper spray the kiddie-diddler-in-chief.

Grampa Rapist got all rapey? I did not see that coming

[-] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 day ago

He backed off, she's too old.

Walked in on teenagers changing at beauty pageants, talked about grabbing women by the pussy, loomed over Hillary Clinton in the debates, raped E. Jean Carroll.

This should surprise no one. He is a giant piece of shit.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 53 points 1 day ago

That's what so many love about him, though. The general message at that time was that Obama meant we were post-racial (even though his election drove conservatives to madness) and that it was "her turn" when it came to Hillary. Yeah, I didn't really like the messaging around that, either.

But the racists and misogynists were fuming and fuming all during the 90s (Hillary being talked about as a co-President possibly made them even crazier than having to abide a black President did) and then during Obama's 8 years as virtually everyone ignored their stupid "long firm birth certificate" demands.

When tiny d donnie came along and started saying and doing all the shit they say and do in private, because he's supposedly a bigly billionaire who didn't give a flying fuck about social norms because he has fuck-you money, they could not get enough. If Romney and McCain were their methadone, donnie is their China White.

They view donnie as the guy that put both Obama and Hillary "in their place".

The people here saying it's not a lunge are full of shit. Damage control or something.

Look at the dude's face, he was moments away from physically assaulting this woman before remembering where he was.

Go read a dictionary, and then apologize.

[-] qarbone@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

I'm just surprised he managed that much physical ability.

[-] MojoMcJojo@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago

The turd didn't lunge, he was just his usual rude

[-] crystalmerchant@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Agreed that wasn't a lunge. He's just a snarky asshole

[-] stardreamer@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

But in the case he did lunge...

Can the reporter parry and counterstrike?

[-] minorkeys@sh.itjust.works 52 points 1 day ago

"lunges" fucking click bait bullshit.

[-] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Ikr, it's ok to use your size to intimidate women. They're not even real people. Fake news!

[-] minorkeys@sh.itjust.works 1 points 15 hours ago

...projection much...

[-] blattrules@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

Well, with the way he stands, the slightest move forward could be interpreted as a lunge…

The real question needed is "whatever BS justification for the cheque is, why does it have to be conditional on midterm results", and why will this happen when $1776 aniversary, DOGE, and tariff refund cheques never did?

[-] ours@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

You remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

[-] adarza@lemmy.ca 55 points 1 day ago

keep the pressure on. he's gonna snap and physically assault one of these reporters.

[-] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yeah I was thinking about how that would maybe actually become a big deal.

Then I remembered about that GOP politician that literally body slammed a reporter and barely got a slap on the wrist.

He did not lose his job. I'm pretty sure he didn't even get censured. So correction: it would be a big deal if a Democrat did it. Hell, I bet if a Democratic president had done this exact action in the OP, he'd be impeached. The hypocritical pearl clutching would be off the charts.

Edit: Greg Gianforte. The current Governor of Montana.

Body slammed Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs in 2017. Pled guilty to misdemeanor assault, then went on to continue winning elections until becoming the chief executive of an entire state.

This country is a piece of shit.

It will be deemed an official action and therefore legal.

He actually stepped forward! That is indeed a lunge.

[-] stoly@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yeah if he were alone he might have raised his hand at her. You could see that he experienced rage.

[-] betanumerus@lemmy.ca 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

It looks like he tried to scare her.

Stepped forward, head first. That's a lunge, somewhat aggressive also

you can see him physically pull back and control himself as soon as he acknowledges the man next to her.

100% would have slapped her if there wasnt a man there, whose mere existence intimidated trump enough to step back.

[-] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 day ago

"Ah! An adult!"

[-] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago

This guy is such a cornball, cereal box prize villain.

Look at this. Jesus man...

[-] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Yeah, he was trying to be threatening. It apparently didn't have much effect: she doesn't back up at all. If anything she moves in a hair.

He should lunge more. Might trip and crack that eggshell of an old man skull on a blade of grass or something.

I know from experience that sudden movement hurts when you're old, he'll be in pain later so hopefully more drug induced shit posting later

I did it as a reward for people having to put up with five years and four years of a horrible situation caused by Biden,” Trump replied. “You look at the border, you look at the crime.... It’s almost a reward for the people having to put up with Biden’s policies.”

I think that even the most ardent Trump supporter knows that things were better with Biden.

[-] daychilde@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago

I dunno, I put up with...... five years of Biden? And then four years of Biden? I'm so confused.

[-] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

they'll never admit it if they do.

They'll keep shoveling the spoonfulls of trump shit into their mouth, noticeably grimacing, but insisting it tastes better than the biden steak next to it.

[-] iamthetot@piefed.ca 22 points 1 day ago

Trump is a vile human being, but "lunges"? Come on... That is not at all what that word means. He leaned forward and disrespected a woman, something he's done a thousand times before.

[-] WesternInfidels@feddit.online 22 points 1 day ago

That is not at all what that word means

lunge (plural lunges)

  1. A sudden forward movement, especially with a sword.

I guess I don't understand your objection.

He leaned forward and disrespected a woman, something he’s done a thousand times before.

As the story proceeds to point out.

They went for him again due to his "business skills" and will again for the enabling party in '28 if people don't wake up and understand all this clearly. The feedback loop is really insidious: system caused artificial scarcity → need for escape → passive consumption → mental numbing → vulnerable to manipulation → decisions made from a place of anxiety rather than clarity → reinforcement of the systems causing the stress in the first place.
