I thought this might be the result of FDA direction limiting "milk" to ruminants, but it looks like the latest guidance (2023) is plant-based milk can still be called "milk" as long as it mentions it nutritional differences from dairy milk.

I'm sorry I'm like this, guys.

Seems you're more progressive than EU over there in the US of the A****

All this tells me is that plant-based milk has a lobby that can match the dairy lobby.

Soy? Yes, there is quite a fucking lot of soy farming and money in it

This stuff is everywhere. I’m glad bc it gives me a chuckle whenever I go through the organic fridge aisle.

[-] sundray@lemmus.org 6 points 8 hours ago

They can't say that, this is nut milk.

[-] crazycraw@crazypeople.online 4 points 8 hours ago

[-] Davel23@fedia.io 7 points 10 hours ago

Well now I'm concerned that it doesn't say "no cums".

[-] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago

It says no cums, they're allowed to have one

[-] TomMasz@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

Saw this in a local organic food store a couple years ago. I guess I'm surprised to see it in Costco, though.
