But today, it beeps no more.
I classify this as a repair.

There's a fan here that has a bright blue LED capable of lighting a whole room. That LED shines when the silent mode for the night is activated 🙄
So many electronics insist upon themselves. You're a fan that blows away the fart smells in the bathroom, you are not the star of the show.
At first I loved the blue LEDs when they showed up in the early 2000 but I've grown to hate them. Why can't a soft green or red be used.

I want to do that to my mini split wall units, but have to go through quite a bit of stuff to reach the buzzer.
Oooh! Our samsung dryer and washer does a long song. I tear off one speaker and the other I just covered the hole for a muffled song.
I hate that modern appliances beep constantly. Whatever happened to giving a shit about being annoying or not? Old appliances would beep or ding once. If you're the idiot and leave something sitting forever that's on you. I would rather have my food get cold than my microwave beep every five seconds indefinitely. Sometimes finishing up a task that is going to take 20 more seconds is the right thing to do, stop aggressively beeping at me.
My car has no fewer than five different beeps when starting up. Sometimes it just keeps beeping forever. It did when I went to see it for the first time. I was trying it and stopped at a light, and it just kept beeping. Forever. The sales person had no idea why. I wanted it so badly, it’s pre-spyware car but the beeps were untenable. Spent 20 minutes looking up what the f is up with it. I found an obscure old forum post where someone had complained about the overly sensitive sensors and there’s a secret tiny hidden button that doesn’t feel like a real car button when you press it and it mutes them until you restart the car. I found it, pressed it, and the beeps went away.
I’ve had the car for a decade now and the beeps persist, lest I press the “beepn’t” button, and yknow… that’s alright. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but that’s a hilariously bad design flaw.
My friend just bought a toaster that plays a tune when it’s done.
A toaster. That needs to tell you when it’s done.
My toaster just triggers the toast catapult when he's done with his thing. Noise notifies me, toasted bread flies around, what's not to like?

All of my Korean appliances sing the songs of their people once they have accomplished the most menial of tasks.
Wouldn't help the people in the office that go toss a bagel in the toaster then never come back for their burnt charcoal that got stuck because it was too plump to pop up
as if the house rattling launch of the toast wasnt enough to tell you, your neighbors, and the russian seismograph monitors on the other side of the world that the toast was ready.
My rice cooker plays twinkle twinkle little star and I always dance to it when it’s done.
The difference is the rice cooker doesnt have metal parts launching upwards creating a very loud distinct sound that already indicates in the room that the toast is done.
With that said there were some really cool old toasters from like the 1950's that had self toasting where you put the slices in and it automatically drops down and then rises quietly back up when its done. If that one had a small song I could at least understand that.

100% with you. I purchase appliances with a pleasant tone or sound off feature as my top priority.
This should be a service. And some fancy EU regulation banning ones you can't mute.
Luckily this is a pretty simple thing to diy, at least for a kettle.

Piezo buzzers aren't exactly resistive loads, and I don't think cutting normal speakers would break appliances either. My kettle works the same as before, just less annoying.
My water dispenser needs this repair. Beeps a total of six times for a cup of warm water. Come to think of it, most of my appliances need this repair. Can't even throw a frikandel late at night in the airfryer without waking the whole appartment building. And it is called a Ninja?
The ninja air fryers are famous for their obnoxious and loud beeps! Friend of mine has one, and I was stunned by how loud it beeps. And it does that at every step of the process: Choosing temperature and time, starting, restarting (after necessary turning over the fried goods), at the end (multiple times then).
Looked it up and found loads of complaints about that problem.
This is amazing, I wish to do the same for a microwave! That thing is so damn loud it's a pain!

you can also cover the small hole with tape first. this reduces the volume quite a bit. I do this if I can't reach the underside and I don't want risking to damage the PCB.
Now do my stupid LG dryer, it beeps out a song thats like a full 40 seconds long
I believe our LG washer had a setting to turn that off.

My LG washer and dryer both allow it to be turned off on the machine’s controls. It’s labeled as a press-and-hold button function. Yes, they’re “smart”, no it’s never been connected via Bluetooth or WiFi.
It stays off till turned back on.
Mine does the same and also beeps when you take it from the base. I should repair it too.

Do you think it might make sense to add a small resistor instead of removing it entirely? What could be a good value?
Being less confident in my soldering skills, I also just cover the emitter in hot glue, or that tacky stuff that kids hang posters with.
The air fryer is one that I actually find useful, but it was way too loud so I just covered it with hot glue

Definitely counts as a repair. Did the same to my microwave although much easier (simply put some tape on the metal bell it has inside).
I know when the microwave is done. It's silent then.
