Who knows, nobody knows whats in this «new agreement» but they already have free travel, multiple military bases as per « Defense of Greenland: Agreement Between the United States and the Kingdom of Denmark, April 27, 1951(1)« so its hard to tell.
Because they're deliberately keeping its contents vague from the press. It makes Trump look good to his MAGA base, and allows Denmark and Greenland to draw a line under this whole mess.
