If you, as an IT guy recommend Linux, and some exec has a problem with his laptop (which they would have had no matter what OS is running on it) it WILL be your fault because you changed something.

I don't really understand Linux, it's my second/"work" OS keeping an ancient thinkbook alive. If it breaks I'll find one without AI I guess, and keep going until I understand how to use Arch?
I don't know why Microsoft can't understand:
Make something actually good. Give people the option to use it.
Making something good takes more money and yields less. Users, for the most part, are too entrenched in the ecosystem to ever leave, so Microsoft may as well squeeze the most out of them.
The only good products Microsoft ever made were their BASIC interpreters for 8-bit computers. Everything since then has been about cornering the market and denying customer choice.

It's a built-in Gimp texture. It's like the monkey face in Blender. If you see the green pepper in an image, you know the image was made in the Gimp. It's like a cheeky signature/nod.
Photoshop is also a verb, has been for decades actually, meaning a use of photo editing software in general.
Also saying you GIMPed something just doesn’t feel right

Mostly correct. IIRC, it was from some influencers' photoshoot, and originally it doesn't look anywhere near as spicy as the memes may imply. Someone did some research a while back, and it's pretty tame.
