This is your daily reminder that Irish and Italians weren't considered white at the beginning of the 20th century in America.
Hell, some people in Europe don't consider albanians to be white.
Also I'd be very concerned as to where all the racial minorities went. Like genuinely concerned.
One of my favorite facts was that West Side Story was initially about the rivalry between polish and Italian immigrants in New York and Leonard Bernstein had to rework it because he received feedback that it would be too niche and people who didn't live in New York in a very specific window of time wouldn't get it.
People who don't live in Europe don't even realise how divided white Europeans are. The Irish and Eastern Europeans are even victims of colonisation.
And forget North America and Europe, just look at Africa and tell me they did not have inter-ethnic conflicts.

Literally Brexit was mostly about Brits not liking other Europeans being free to move to Britain, especially Poles.
I lived in London and unless they actually start talking and you hear their accent (or, even "worse" for the average Brit, their language) you can't actually tell a Pole from a Brit.
So. yeah, a fucking mid-sized country in the modern era has left a massive European trade union which gave them massive benefits (it has been estimated that Britain's GDP is growing 2% less every year because of leaving) because of their xenophobia against other Europeans, especially Eastern and Southern Europeans.

I'd probably start by trying to figure out what the fuck happened to everyone.
It will be skin colour again, but limited to a tighter spectrum.
People really forget that racism against Italians and Irish was a thing.
It'll just be the intra-European racism that already exists, which doesn't particularly follow skin color.
Germanic, Celtic, Slavic, Mediterranean, etc.. Each with their own subdivisions ready to go if the others were wiped out.
Depending on your definition of 'white', probably start scavenging for the upcoming crisis. The loss of like 90% of the world's population will create a supply chain crisis and general systems collapse. Who knows what skills and technologies are lost.
History already showed what happens. 90% chance people start going for the Irish.
Don't forget Italians.
Also Catholics in general.
People are incredibly good at creating out-groups and attacking them.

You didn't even have to remove white people for black people to start subdividing into shades of black. Racism is stupid. Being a certain race doesn't make it any more or less stupid for you to do it.
The semantical arguments about who counts as “white” already exist and often in very hate filled ways. Alt right “preserve the white race” people already try to bring back the pre world war 2 “Italians don’t count as white” nonsense. And of course tons of Italian Americans are certainly not known for progressive stances
So basically targets would shift?
Having just come from the "taking things too literally" thread, contexts like these make it fun to deliberately take it too literally.
What would I do if I woke up and there were only white people left? I'd probably think "what the fuck is going on" as I see only white people floating around in empty space, and then I'd die from a mix of lack of oxygen, hypothermia, and lack of pressure.
Though maybe I'd first ask a clarifying question, like if that "black people" was just an example or would there still be like asians, and latinos? Do Irish and Italians count as white for this question? Basically set it up to look like I'm engaging with the question in good faith before taking the "clarification" to the extreme and giving the above answer.
And then poke at whatever new edge cases they leave when they try to clarify again, until I get bored and just disengage because it was a fucking dumb question.
This goes for every human population, by the way.
What, you think only Europe had racism and discrimination through history?
"White" is a relatively modern concept, and one that can be quite nebulous. I see some people call Bernie Sanders white, but I also see white nationalists who dont consider Jews white. Back when the British were committing a genocicde against the Irish and driving millions of Catholic refugees into a predominantly Protestant America they weren't considered white. Some Nazis considered Japanese people "honorary whites". People around the Mediterranean are a whole mixed bag- Italians, Greeks, and Spaniards have all been treated as white or non-white at times. Racists still debate whether Cleopatra and other Coptic Egyptians should count as "white" or not.
And of course Europeans have been making up divisions and killing each other over it for centuries. The very concepts of "Italy" and "France" and "Germany" and "Spain" and the like are pnky a few generations old.
It's not just "white" people though. The Japanese have a history of committing atrocities against their neighbors in Korea and China. Chinese history is largely the story of the Han people conquering the nations around them, and they are still committing genocide against groups like the Uyghurs and Tibetans today. Sudan had the genocide of the Darfuri in the early 2000's. The Rohingya genocide in Myanmar is still ongoing. We could go on and on.
The idea that only "white" people are racist is, itself, a racist idea.
Non-American here...... So it's only black people or are my best drinking buddies (Bosnian and Turkish) Even more important question does my Chinese wife, my half Chinese daughter and my wonderful mother-in-law still exist...?

Literally already happened a dozen times. Some power hungry piece of shit is already trying to convince his (it's always a man) neighbors them down-the-block Whites are going to kill them unless they donate to the "Nah I'm a good one" fund.
