It’s still Wednesday (at least for me) and I have a win!

Went to the gym for the first time in a few years. I have a trainer for the next few weeks to help me get back into the groove of things. At first , I was a little intimidated (I’m a sometimes shy introvert) because it’s been a while since I’ve gone to the gym and the trainer is muscled, tattooed, and cute. I met him last week, but today I got a good look at his tattoos and OMG dude is a nerd lol It’s all Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, and game stuff. I love it!

He’s also knowledgeable and explains the how and why of each exercise which is super important to me because of back stuff. Form is my number 1 important thing because I really don’t want to fuck up my back. He’s going to help me relearn gym stuff and set me up with a plan at the end of the sessions.

I’m so glad to be back at the gym, but I’m sore as fuck now!

That's how I started, too - shy, introvert, embarrassed to be doing something wrong, and intimidated. It might take a bit, but eventually, you just don't care what others are doing or if they're looking at you. It's great start with a trainer.

Then you keep at it, gain more confidence, notice the gains, gain more confidence and motivation to keep going... It's great. From stranger to stranger, I'm proud of you. You can do it!!! 👊💪

Heck yeah! Thank you!! 💪

I like starting a new gym with a trainer because it does help me get over that initial hesitation. My last trainer was cool as fuck and ran a boxing class that I loved. This new guy is cool as fuck too and I really like how he explains everything. He’s going to set me up with a routine after our sessions together and he analyzes what I can’t/shouldn’t do with my back.

That's awesome. I think finding a PT that understands your needs is just as important as finding a GP with the same characteristics.

Good luck on the start of your fitness journey 💪

My hormones have seemed to level out this week, which is a pretty big win that I have little control over. Last week... not so much.

A little relief is so nice! Happy to hear your week is going a bit better than the last :)

I know. I've got all sorts of little battles to fight (spring pollen flares up my skin like mad), but this is a big one for sure. Thank you! 😊
