https://reddit.com/r/suppressed_news/ is a great example of Russian propaganda. They claim they post "both sides" but ban you for pointing out that every post there supports Russia and denounces Ukraine.
In case anyone wanted an example.
This is what these pieces of shit are doing. And to add, they remove everything they disagree with, despise it not violating their rules. It’s a psyop communist that needs to be banned.
I’m all about free speech, but abusing the rules of the instance to silence others is not free speech. They’re just a hate group at this point.

Yeah I had two of these posts in a row pop up on my all feed, by the same user on the same instance. I said "putting in overtime a month before the election, I see."
Yeah I got a comment deleted from there which was about not letting Trump win and they were like “See Rules 3 and 4 liberalism is not allowed” or something to that effect

The next two elections, these mid-terms and the next presidential election, are probably the most important in our young nations history. We can absolutely still make a difference through voting, voter outreach, and community organizing. Any doomer posts designed to dissuade action and voting just screams of the same interference we've come to expect from russia and their allies.
I won't turn a blind eye while my beloved Lemmy becomes inundated with power-abusing trolls trying to quash dissent to their lame efforts at manipulation.
For now, being banned from that instance is a badge of honor and intelligence. Congrats!
Lemmy is a big propaganda outlet for Russia. I’ve been banned from hexbear and .ml for pointing out the obvious bullshit. They even upvoted me after I congratulated them on Trump’s second term.
Not surprising. They took over the Reddit sub over ten years ago.
As always, the best solution is to create a new LateStageCapitalism community on another instance with a moderation policy that better matches your expectations (not to discourage PSAs like this, just like, as a next step).
I second this. And im also banned from that community because I said some post was nonsense and explained the difference between socialism and capitalism and that's how that went.
There are plenty of things to discuss under the topic of late stage capitalism. So just make a new community for it. I'll subscribe.

In what reality would someone think that deleting every top level comment that obviously disagrees with the post is a good look...on top of the post being "Let's not vote and let all the people who do vote decide who runs everything. That'll show 'em!"

Blocked the mod this afternoon, guess that'll take care of most of the community's posts, too. It's obvious anti voting propaganda, and dissenting opinions are disallowed.

I was banned by GodlessCommie just the other day after I caught him admitting he isn't American.

Very strange though. I had a commenter there tell me they were going to bed but it was okay because they were studying abroad.
