Made a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with my family yesterday. Turkey breast and cranberries, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, carrot and turnip, broccoli and stuffing all with cheeze sauce ☺️

American here. Your portion sizes look way to reasonable, must be a Canadien.

"Wanna eat a dozen hardboiled eggs?"

"Uh, absolutely not?"

"What if we cut them in half, scoop out the yolks, add mayo and pickles and put them back?

"HELL yeah"

Y'all ain't got meat in canadia?

[-] jesse@piefed.ca 1 points 4 days ago

Haha, I'm not a bit meat eater. For me turkey is just a support for cranberry sauce. There is some burried under them. 😂

Ok why did everyone including me make deviled eggs on Canadian Thanksgiving this year.

[-] jesse@piefed.ca 1 points 4 days ago

Because they're amazing 🤤

[-] Texas_Hangover@lemmy.radio 2 points 4 days ago

Because deviled eggs are fucking delicious.

Yum!

We roasted a chicken and made pan sauce, along with mashed potatoes, butternut squash leek soup, and mango broccoli red curry. Then banana bread for dessert.

For three people. 😄

I LOOOOVE deviled eggs but I'm too lazy to make them.

My deconstructed lazy recipe is I just cut hard boiled eggs in half and squeeze horseradish sauce on them.

[-] jesse@piefed.ca 3 points 6 days ago

Awe, once they're boild and peeled they aren't too much work. You just slice them in half, mix up the yolks with mayo and seasoning salt and put them back.

Uhg. Forgot the pickled beets.

[-] jesse@piefed.ca 2 points 4 days ago

Not too late to make some! This was my first attempt at homemade from the garden. They're not too difficult.
