I know it's been said before but, The Wrong 80 Year Olds Are Dying!
I've been saying that too damn much this year.
Kiazi's children, their faces wet.
He who was my companion through adventure and hardship... Is gone forever.

But it still hurts like hell.
There is one less light...
That would still make it only four lights :)

It is a warning to the gods that Captain Picard is coming…
Don't worry everybody. He will wake up on a starship and all this will have been like a dream.
Rest in peace, Captain.
This sounds stupid but I've been crying since I found out. He has inspired me so much in my life
I'm watching Generations right now. I know, I know. But Walter and Patrick are both here okay?
RIP Sir Patrick Stewart, I grew up on TNG, you had a formative influence on my childhood and who I grew up to be. You always were and always will be, my Captain.
All Good Things...
He was a tyrant and a menace to Rome. Good ridden to him.

Patrick Stewart played legendary Roman tyrant Sejanus in the mini-series I, Claudius. You should watch it.
How does this hurt in so many different ways?
All Good Things...
Thank you, Captain.
fuck :( RIP mon capitaine
I am deeply saddened to hear the news. I, like many others, was a major fan of TNG series. I rewatch it yearly, and will continue to do so. Picards mannerisms, heroism, positive values, and dedication to do what’s right has been a huge influence and driving force in my life. I will continue to honor the traits this man’s character personifies as long as I live.
God speed Sir Patrick Stewart. Thank you for all that you have done.
Picard was (and still is) a major influence on my moral compass. It wouldn't be that way, if Patrick Stewart did not act/play him so well. RIP.
I can't believe that's still around. <3
Yesterday, but yeah.
Even though he was 86 and suffering, it still hits pretty hard. He was the best.
I didn't even know he was suffering 😭
he apparently had alzheimers and lewy body dementia, the one that robin williams had.
Which TNG episode are y'all watching tonight? I was kind of thinking The Inner Light.
I'm watching Generations. Want to see Chekov too. Also, the themes seem appopriate right now.
"Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. But I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey, and reminds us to cherish every moment because they'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we lived. After all, Number One, we're only mortal."
Tapestry

Darmok has always been a favorite Picard-focused episode for me.
I just watched The Inner Light last night. Might have been as he was passing. Somehow that's comforting.
Inner light is of course so glorious, but I'm currently watching The Royale.
Rest well, Captain.
Oh it'll be a series rewatch for me, if any perfect time existed for one, it's now.
Tapestry 🫤
Inner Light is my go-to sad day episode.
I just got back from a small beach vacation; first in years. Exhausted from driving, I ate some dinner, threw on Picard (S2E07 Monsters) and passed out on my couch. Woke up to this news... fuck.
Oh captain, my captain 😭
NOOOOOOOOOOO Jean Luc… I grew up loving TNG.
I think it's time for a rewatch... He'll live on forever as long as I'm alive. Thank you for everything, Captain. RIP...
No-one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine they made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence.
-Sir Terry Pratchett, Reaper Man
His echoes will continue for a long time to come. RIP Sir Patrick.

A great actor, and a decent human. Rest peacefully Captain. You've earned it.
FFS, get your shit together Death!
He lived a good life, projecting all the good qualities we could wish a man to possess. Confidence, compassion, wisdom, courage and justice. 86 is a long life, all things considered.
Also, he had Alzheimer's and Lewy body dementia. It's a loss to us, and it certainly will be to those who knew him. But for him, it was probably a mercy. No one good should have to suffer through such illness.
NOOOO
LA Comic Con sellers with Picard merch are gonna make off like bandits this weekend. RIP Patrick Stewart :(
Oh no! :(
Fuck.
damn it.
I'm so depressed
heaven just became a better place
