My guess would be it's all the townhouses that got built circa 2021 and then didn't sell in the downturn.

What's the ranking system here, what does "trending" mean. Are they most searched for, or the biggest increase?
I'd imagine biggest increase, that's my understanding of trending.
My guess is that it’s cheaper accommodation that is within easy travelling distance of Wellington, where accommodation has been expensive and harder to find in my experience.
Good theory actually, especially if you are near the rail line.
