random man evades police, crashes car, breaks into someone's house & threatens them. police then solved the problem.

What is happening in this country?

[–] thevoyagekayaking 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

It happened after a driver allegedly fled from police and crashed his car on a rural road, before breaking into a stranger's home and threatening the occupants.

Police doing a damn fine job, by the sound of it.

Somehow I don't think that justifies an extrajudicial execution by the police.

"The driver presented a firearm to Police and then fled, driving erratically and at high speed," they added.

He did threaten them with a gun.

What do you think they should have done instead?

Obviously it's way too soon, there's very little details but some strong GTA vibes going on.

It'll be interesting to hear more about it over the rest of the week

GTA vibes is a good way of putting it actually.

It totally feels like my off script benders that always ended badly...

I'm just hoping the media doesn't pull out much 'had a promising league career' BS

Subdue the armed person, who had just committed multiple violent offenses? Sure thing buddy.

[–] BalpeenHammer 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Yes, that's their job isn't it?

[–] thevoyagekayaking 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

You are truly cooked if you think subduing an armed person like that is a viable option.

It's been done before.
