I don't think there are any surprises here. No matter what you think of her, I think most people expected this.

Swarbrick received 169 votes from party delegates, Foulkes received no votes.

Yeah, the only way she wasn't getting the job was if she turned it down.

Totally. I heard Foulkes only ran against her as a sort of service to make sure her ideas were tested and debated properly during the process.

This was the only realistic outcome, she has better name recognition than either of the current leaders, and has polled higher in preferred PM ratings than either Davidson or Shaw.
