Unable to log in on the mobile phone (self.support)

I am trying to log in on my mobile phone using chrome (not an app). I see no oauth options there so I went. into my settings and set up a password and email address for the account. I tried to log in using those but it just hangs.

How do I use this on my mobile app? Is there a mobile app for IOS? If not why am I not able to log into the web site on the mobile app?

I have an android so I've been using Jerboa but have seen mentioned an app called mlem for iOS that seems to be pretty popular. Good luck!

I just started using Jerboa. Any tips or tricks you wish you knew earlier?

I notice that a draft of a comment won't save automatically which broke my heart a little earlier today 😆

The best thing I did was sub to !jerboa@lemmy.ml. I learnt a whole bunch of stuff from questions I never even thought to ask.

I'm also not on iOS but have heard people talk about a new one Memmy.

No. It just keeps spinning after I enter the email and password.

It may just be lag w/ lemmy. Why don’t you try another instance like

Maybe there is a bug in that if you created your account with oauth then you can't ever log in normally. Of course you could be right too because I just tried with the memmy beta and it doesn't work either.

I have a similar login issue. I can login on my android device using Brave, but the same browser on iOS never completes sign in. Oh well. It's early days and I appreciate all the work going in to Lemmy.

Let's hope so. I am suspecting it's got something to with coordinating oauth and email logins myself.
