Happy Friday!
Sorry guys, the lemmy.world stuff is not resolved. It got better a bit then got worse again.
It seems with that lemmy bug that only lets one action be sent at a time, we are limited to about 4 or 5 requests from lemmy.world per second because of the round trip time with us on the other side of the world. But because they already create content at about that rate (all actions, including votes), when you suddenly add a few hundred thousand Kbin actions from some Kbin issue, it's not clear we can ever catch up 🥲
I'm currently working through options, but if anyone has any ideas! I'm gonna try blocking Kbin temporarily, to see if rejecting those problem actions will help, but it probably won't because lemmy.world still won't be able to send us anything faster than they are now.
Edit: And just adding, outbound is fine. If you comment or post something on lemmy.nz, it federates to lemmy.world almost instantly. It's only the other direction, lemmy.world to lemmy.nz, that is a problem.
