I'm not sure why I'd be installing actual Discord on Linux; I'm sure there should be an open-source fork somewhere that's less resource-hungry and less intrusive to the system... Just saying.

Precisely, Stoat or fluxer

I don't see it happening; Copilot was a failed proof of concept that crippled the Windows ecosystem and permanently tarnished Microslop's reputation as the premier operating-system developer; the Linux community doesn't openly embrace AI much at all, and gamers couldn't care less about it... All the LLM services have been running at a consistent loss/debt, and CoreWeave is propped up by the only 2 companies that couldn't even successfully launch a finished product. They need to cut their losses and pack it in; call it a day!

Big deal! The gaming industry is properly cooked at this point anyway; all these companies only have themselves to blame, and I, for one, am happy to see all that abuse of power backfire in the publishers' faces. screwing both developers and customers like this for the past 15+ years was never going to sustain the console business.

I've been using MX for years, stable reliable Dedian distro, regardless of which kernel, KDE Plasma desktop keeps workflows clean & familiar. If I was a total newbie in 2026... I'd try ZORON... it's impossible to goose that up and can use ubuntu store.

The guy darwined himself.... And the fact that would even be up for suggestion under the circumstances make me wonder if human's hubris has any solution besides depopulation, less we forget a tiger doesn't even bloody belong in the UK at some pen humans dumped it in to. probably hungry AF, what they all expect!? lemmus.org As I understand it, lemmus.org was launched only 5 years ago. reddit has been established for 21 years, nobody was looking for alternatives until the reddit mods became synonymous to political dogma groups and began to deteriorate into one of the most toxic, divisive and counter productive platforms on the internet. people aren't finding lemmus because google refers to reddit as default provider for answers/results. I only found this because I looked through articles particular for FOSS and decentralization, normies don't know what that is to look for it.
