In short: front end (like, page design) dev added a line in code that would call home for a list of people and instances dev didn't like so they won't appear on the front end to users. Badically a unwanted blacklist of users. Many got there for one reason or another. Some have no clue why.

Nobody mentioned Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. That's pretty much kh1/2 off ps2 except on a handheld. Super cool and replayable game.

I feel like I'm not in some super cool private group of people.

Let me in!

This hasn't bothered me at all. I've been _Arr_chiving a lot lately.

Not to make cm0002 look bad. He's just a prevalent poster that posts a lot everywhere. Honestly, I'd count him as a reason why lemmy is not feeling deserted as much. But he got on some people's nerves and I am not surprised he's on the list.

I fucking hate that. Used to have Revolut but stopped using it. They been annoying me with constant emails if I won't update my data so I went and tried deleting my account. DELETING IS ONLY AVAILABLE THROGUH AN APP. TO LOGIN YOU NEED TO PROOF TPUR IDENTITY.

The comes research with the findings that, as stated in TOS, it is possible to delete an account though emailing them directly. After like 30 emails between us they did delete it. Most of their replies were telling me I can only delete my account in app. Fuck Revolut.

Bro. Taking this sub seriously can rot your brain. I mean, they are serious about their claims. It's just that they are being paid by microslop to be stupid or because they are stupid.

Programmers back in the day had to be super clever. I can't say much about programs but games used to be very restrictive and some devs managed to pull out incredible mechanics and graphics having barely any memory to work with. Today they'd release 150gb game that is no much better than a game they've released in 2008.

This always made me respect old school games.

Nokia 3310 is much more powerful than Apollo mission computer. Crazy! And yet we need our phones getting bigger memory and faster CPUs each year. Why? Makes no sense 🀷

After going to Seoul for a week and coming back to Berlin, it felt like a breath of fresh air to be in the middle of the city. To be fair, Germany is not immune to ads and there are plenty in Berlin. But at the fucking very least nothing blasts music all day, no flashy strobing led signs en mass on each corner, door, shop or business all around the city.

Loved Korea. Hated ads.

Yeah. After concrete jungle, it is good for like first 5 times. You skip watching out of window once wifi signals goes back.

In general, crop fields and woods left and right does not stop you from being glued to a phone screen or just having your eyes closed shut and boty in hibernating mode.

Maybe. If only my urethra would mimick those fancy handmade Japanese tea pots.

Anyone knows good mac games software sources? Googling so far hasn't lead me to anywhere good enough.

I am in search of Rocksmith 2014 that had been released for PC/Mac in 2014 and maintained for Mac until 2024 (but it seems still working in M chips).

I understand that whatever I am seeking for might as well not exist anymore or has ever existed. But, just for a back up, I'd like to know of places where cracked Mac software and games can be obtained.

Thank you in advance!

Managed to spin up Opencloud on my NAS. I put a host entry in NPM and it seems to be working. From external internet I can log in and upload files with no issues. But whenever I try to reach it through local IP and port, page loads but stays completely blank.

Googling didn't give reasonable leads. Has anyone had similar issue that they've fixed?

Edit: Forgot to write a solution that I have found.

It seems that Opencloud has to be accessed though an secure connection with a working SSL cert. My solution is to utilize local DNS service (in my case, pihole) and redirect dns record to your reverse proxy to be solved there. In my case op.example.com goes to a NPM on a local machine that answers with an Opencloud site. Page will be white/black for a few secs for some reason, but it will load webpage and will let me in.

Ladies and gentlemen. We got'em!

Yesterday a divine miracle happened and a wild Xbox360 S phased into reality in my apartment. What cool and neat things I can do with it?

I run proxy through RPi3b+ that is installed in another country. I want to open a port on RPi that is being used by qbittorent on main machine which is 6881. Is there any way to do it?

I have used ufw enable 6881/tcp but it seems not to work. And I tried miniupnp but it fails to ind IGD which must be there cause router does have UPnP tailscale port open automatically. Am I doing something wrong?

Recently digitalized bunch of DVDs and BluRays. This one is a hell of a CD holder. Feels like trying to play tug of war with a dog.

I have set an Arr stack with qBittorrent utilizing SOCKS5 server set in another country. Am I still under surveillance if I use my local IP address to download .torrent files or use magnet links?

Got a printer at the warehouse where they sell used hotel equipment. They told that it has a defect in a way that it "prints with a line across". All cartridges were full and working. And it seems that they can be refilled judging by the area around the caps.

It did work but the "line" was a bend, not a print. Found out that heating roller in a fuser was the culprit. Was about to get a new fuser off Alibaba for a 100 but my wife gave me a better option. She suggested to get a used one off local marketplace. We found same lineup smiplier model with empty cartridges. After a quick swap, this little boy now gives out sharp and plain prints. 30 euro for defective office one, 40 euro off marketplace.

This pic is from a marketplace printer with a swapped in defective fuser.

P.S. Apparently, this brand has an extensive servicing manual for this lineup printers. It has all instructions for servicing pretty much any part with pictures and videos. Major props for Lexmark. Never heard of this brand before.

Need help with VPN (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

I currenly reside in a country with strict piracy rules but also have access to the internet in a country where piracy is not enforced. I want to setup a VPN and route qBittorrent's traffic through it. The idea is to do something like this:

I am fresh to selfhosting and most of the time have no clue how to achieve what I want. So far I have tried Tailscale but I think it won't work how I want it to. If it helps, I have domain name registered. Can anybody point me to the right direction?

Update (if anyone is seeking answers):

I went with tailscale which I have already set up before on the rpi3. Somehow, no matter what I try, wireguard or pivpn would not work. Maybe I have hands growing out of my ass or something, no idea.

What did work is Dante. I setup socks5 on pi through tailscale0 and it worked wonders. Qbittorent did connect and detected IP of rpi3. The best part is that opposed to wireguard, dedicated port does not have to be open in order for Dante to work. I see it as a win win! Now I'm hyped to go back to my homeland and install pi there.
