gotta be either the tiny computer i'm typing this on, or the large, sturdy, wooden stick in the corner. if i had to pick to keep just one though, it'd be the phone. a sturdy stick has a million and one uses, but it's also fairly easily replaceable.

my partner showed me this yesterday, and i am slightly embarrassed to admit that i tapped the screen at least five times before i figured something was up, and mostly because she was fucking dying laughing at my expense.

picking a favourite is hard, but In The Tall Grass (2019) is definitely up there, and i never see anyone talk about it. also, Malignant (2021). definitely try to go in blind for that one if you can.

i'm always surprised that most people rank the nun as the worst in the conjuring franchise. i think it's probably my favorite. conjuring 2 is phenomenal too. and they're definitely horror.

nobody should be in a tipped position as anything, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't tip when you know people depend on it to put food on their own table. if i can't afford to tip, i don't eat out. simple as.

i can hate my boss, and the whole system he's a symptom of, and be disappointed at the customers for not showing a bit of solidarity, don't worry.

For the past 20 years UK Post Office employees have been dealing with a piece of software called Horizon, which had a fatal flaw: bugs that made it look like employees stole tens of thousands of British pounds. This led to some local postmasters being convicted of crimes, even being sent to prison, because the Post Office doggedly insisted the software could be trusted. After fighting for decades, 39 people are finally having their convictions overturned, after what is reportedly the largest miscarriage of justice that the UK has ever seen.
