we have genetic chronic back pain and the only way to approach it really is to stay healthy. and it will still almost certainly be a problem later on. hoping medicine and stuff has advanced a bit more by the time we are older :)

oh and last night we were having trouble sleeping so like at three quarters to midnight we grabbed some random ipod on our shelf with a broken screen and decided we were going to fix it, grabbing a couple tools and bringing it to this state within 40 or so minutes (a bit of cleaning was involved). why are we like this~

hell yeah! our specialties are pretty much all STEM stuff so that works out nicely hehehe

oh y'all is totally ok. still thnx so much, you're the first to have ever asked!! that means a fair bit to us.

going a little more in depth, in short we are sapphic and the person we were snuggling with is a boy. and like we are totally okay with snuggling and stuff but we really really don't want them to get it in their head that we are a romantic opportunity(s).

they are also very very starved for attention & touch so we are unsure they have that self restraintβ€”they are very puppy-like in that regard! we really do care about them and we just don't want them to become really sad if they end up attempting that route and get told no.

oh well, will hopefully sleep soon and stop imagining my own posts happening to be ans getting all giddy about it…

you deserve some plushies girl! plus if you are bringing others to your bed, they're bound to enjoy the additional company too =^.^=

this certainly brings up some thoughts, given how much of that bulleted stuff we did with a friend yesterday (especially that last one). it feels wrong to talk about it openly on the internet so we won't delve into it here, but your writing really... helps.

its not like anything bad happened, it was really fun and awesome!! there have just been some conflicting thoughts amongst us about, like, what our friend may expect and stuff, cuz we aren't into them romantically. at all.

your notion of progression puts our varying thoughts into so much more perspective, even if it was said for markedly different reasons.

really, thank you <3

on a less brain-intensive note, this abstract sorta art style is really really pretty!!!!! well so is your art in general hehe. but as far as more abstract stuff goes this actually has meaning to us.

hope your breakfast is yummyy!

sadly the diffusion layers and sheer number of light sources work against that. due to how rear projection TVs work though perhaps what you are talking about can be done with one of them!! certainly gonna write down this thought for the future

also, thank you for the continued enthusiasm. it really really does mean a lot to us for someone to actually find what we do like... actually cool and interesting. ^//w//^

oooo that sounds very fun as well. making a really big print of one is challenging though and we don't have a whole lot of film photos at all. but maybe an old film reel cut up could be fun :)

we don't have any medical x-ray images at our hand, but on our commute we do bike right past a place with various x-ray machines and SEMs that we may be able to get a radiograph of something interesting at. perhaps even part of the LCD timing board from the TV itself!

ty for the idea!!

every transfemme loves an oxy-acetylene torch for toasting marshmallows x3

(the thread continues here!)

perhaps late 2025 when we were at the drafting table doing some sketches and noticed that we (specifically miele and rena) are REALLY good at freehanding stuff in three dimensions hehe

the one we bought is on the bottom. the image didn't come out the best but... we are also a little lazy/tired of current x3

the ending text roughly translates to "The train tracks are not a playground!"

cw: a little kinky

another girl on premises saw us holding this frayed belt like this and came up to us and with a smile went "punish me mommy". we are quite friendly with her and this is usual banter so dw hehe

(also, the original title was "one girls trash is another girls pleasure", elected not to go with it for reasons though)

another photo:

color temperature and stuff could certainly be made to look better, but laying down and getting comfy with our plushies... gonna be so so comfy jkashfkhkjfhksdfdsf

that aside, do not forget to indulge in self-soothing activities yourselves! it is very very important for existing in any capacity of wellbeing. <3

context: ich_iel is the german language version of me_irl.

we have it in our RSS reader and we have noticed the posts about the summer heat (these ones and far more) come like CLOCKWORK. and yes there is stuff on english speaking lemmy but it is nothing like this hehe. we just think this is a fun bit of perspective to share.

climate change does really sux ofc, and datacenters are not so promising in of themselves. like make horse raising grounds instead! treat them with the love and kindness and comfort they deserve and they will be infinitely cooler than any pynchonesque sand repository

horses r awesome!!

a family member bought this electric bicycle (lectric XP lite 2) and we have been having a go on it. it is a one speed bicycle though so its certainly interesting hehe.

the fit today was just jeans and this t shirt. more photos:

we also got our physician to write a letter of support for orchiectomy and vaginoplasty, as well as a referral to a hospital for the former, which is cool. unfortunately wait times are certainly a thing that may likely need to be contended with. oh well :)

after posting this we've been thinking about how surprisingly affirming it is to put "traditionally" more masc clothing into a more feminine style. after all, this fit is literally jeans, a t-shirt, and a cap. the exercise of implementing those smaller cues like the flower pin and the sequin covered belt is fun in of itself but our euphoria seems to stem most prominently from breaking societal norms in a girly way!

gender norms are so fun to violate :D

from this pdf (published 1999) found on this page of the NIST PML time and frequency division's website. NIST is the "national institute of standards and technology", although they generally deal with more sciency stuff, and their PML is the "physical measurement laboratory".

NIST does a lot of very cool stuff, especially NIST PML. you should check out the site! their writings are surprisingly easy to read and they actually have a sense of whimsy. ofc they are a US government organization and sadly some bits of their site has been subject to the wills of the trumpster, so be aware of that.
