For instance, Toad is referred to as Kinopio (I assume the wordplay is "Pinokio" – Pinocchio – with the syllables rearranged to be a play on "kinoko" which means mushroom?) while Bowser is literally called Kuppa ("Koopa") (basically the same shit with Pokemon, since Satoshi is renamed as Ash Ketchum in the American version, like why?

...like they just say "Zelda" by name when in JP they refer to her as Hime-sama ("Princess", but super respectful, kinda has "Your Highness" vibes I guess) from dialog.
