Anybody that knows how I can have bottom part of boost be above the navigation menu? Linuxmemes is hidden behind navigation bar

Which type of helmet are you going for? Face wrap armor I guess would be logical in a semi-desert/desert environment.

Oh god. So annoying teams is. The user you're chatting with might use Skype for bla bla. No he ain't, he's next to me. With teams app.

Onedrive force usage... I prefer Dropbox, better ui, better office support than Onedrive. Best of all with Dropbox, shared files are actually reachable by everyone in the team. Sharing through Onedrive, colleague can't access file even though we set it up as reachable by anyone.

  1. If its gaming that is main priority I think pikaos would be a good option. Based on Debian sid. So you will have a more stable ground than arch(my opinion), but still have access to newer kernels for drivers and fixes. https://wiki.pika-os.com/en/home

  2. Games that has anticheat on kernel level(don't know which ones that exist now since I don't play major fps titles). But basically any games that have anticheat for online could be issue.

  3. Amd has best support for Linux, nvidia starts to come around but still has some way to go(my opinion). WiFi cards can sometimes be an issue in Linux still. You need to post your exact hardware config that you have/want to buy.

  4. Not all distros support dual boot or rather give instructions for it.

  5. Do you have software in your private pc that is work related and developed by employer you will run into issues using it in Linux. I simply built a itx pc just for work stuff(damn you filemaker that don't work in Linux, even tried with bottles).

A coffee machine is just a death ray with a smaller power supply! As soon as I figure out how to tap into the main reactors, I will burn the world

You could try SoftMaker office for 30 days to see if their version of Excel is better.

Yearly subscription: https://www.softmaker.com/en/products/softmaker-office/download Perpetual license: https://www.softmaker.com/en/products/softmaker-office/download-permanent-version Comparing the different versions: https://www.softmaker.com/en/products/softmaker-office/order-all

Bonus is that the license will work regardless if you use Linux, Mac or Windows. And the 2024 version is GDPR compliant.

At my job we really miss Skype, sure it was a bloated system on the end. But we could send files to customers during video conferences. They could send back their edits and so on.

With Teams I can barely send an emoji to my customers. Not to mention the bug with the "the other person might use Skype for business". No, they are using Teams, both my customer and I have to force close Teams and restart for it to recognize us both using latest Teams version.

Balmer and Gates worked their way up, especially Gates from basically nothing. They understood mostly what their customers wanted. But Nadella only understands short term revenue. Not the longtime customers.

I honestly don't look forward to the new season. I think I'll skip it. Even though I love futurama. But last season was rather meh. Some few moments were funny, but not that I can recall episode plots.

I have moved to Linux. Hopefully for a long time. Or even forever. Chose PikaOS with KDE. Based on Debian, but with latest kernels to improve gaming experience. And hopefully make it easier installing various Windows programs I need for work. Everybody got to start somewhere.

To be honest, I have tried Linux before with Ubuntu(back when those eee PC existed). I also used Manjaro and Arch. Even installed Arch without archinstall. Didn't exist back then. But I have to say Linux has definitely improved a lot. Almost everything just worked now. To be fair. I don't have nvidia gpu or Intel cpu anymore. Only AMD. So that could be part of why it went smoother.

One small annoyance I got was that my pc could not play from speakers when front audio port was connected by my headset. And now I need to figure out how to install Filemaker 19 pro on my PC. So I can work from home. Winehq is not encouraging

Can someone also recommend a really good replacement for Directory Opus but for Linux? Paid or free software do not matter. As long as it functions like Dopus does.

To be fair. This can be applied to apple and windows users sometimes.

Everyone that has a lemmynsfw.com account need to head to link further down. For a few days pictures from other instances are not showing. First I thought it was issue with boast, but no. I had to basically create new account on lemmy.world to be able to view pictures at all.

This link explains the issue further. https://lemmynsfw.com/post/28224732
