I am struggling to understand how this happens. How do you not realise you are no longer on the ground and are instead on a dangling ramp?

Not to apologise for this driver as he did get out and move them, but it’s also interesting that its only road cones preventing a car driving off this 2nd level ramp. Yeh it should be all thats required, but you know….people.

It's literally just this guy and toddlers we need to worry about, and toddlers can't reach the accelerator.

It's a bit surprising, yes. Having said that, I've taken vehicles across on Interislander many times before, and it's very clear what way to go to get out of the site.

This was an act of determined stupidity by the driver in question.

He then then drove up the ramp, luckily stopping before it ended, as Aratere was not in port.
