If they had an actual cultural problem with it pedo merchandise wouldn't be advertised in store windows.
Im assuming by that you mean 'if the people took issue with it', not 'if there was a cultural problem of pedo shit' (not trying to argue semantics, I do agree that there is 100% a cultural problem with normalising that kind of thing)
