So much worse than it sounds. This was an indoor race and it wasn't just running. They used "communal equipment such as ropes, sandbags, rowing machines and medicine balls"

She finished first, so there was poop smeared on everything for the racers behind her. She ruined everyone's race and potentially got people sick.

If it had been intentional, it would have been a brilliant strategy - take an early lead and shit on everything to slow everyone else down.

It was bad enough that athletes behind her were gagging and trying not to vomit. Now, hyrox did give those athletes time penalties.

It's why they're runners -- they frequently have to shit without much warning, so they've gotten good at running (to the nearest bathroom or waste receptacle)

I heard he literally ate McDonalds before all big races because on a few occasions nice restaurants gave him diarrhea and he wouldn't take the chance again. Better to have poor but extremely consistent food.
