What’s fuelling the rise of the far right? (sh.itjust.works)

It’s been reported that in the German elections, a far right party has made ‘significant gains’.

In the UK (at least before the scandals) Reform UK seems to have had a significant boost and has even surpassed the right-wing Conservative Party in some polls/predictions.

Even France, one or two years ago, was threatened with a far-right government due to the French far right party gaining a lot of support.

It feels like in the last few years, the far-right has exceeded itself and had a surge in popularity. Is this the case? And if so, wtf is fuelling it?

So, in other words, your thoughts about the concept of a tree are a generalization, or a synthesis, or an interpretation of reality, rather than being reality itself. No offense, but uh... duh? Those are all connections though...?

There is not reason not to either 1. support the harm reduction strategy by voting for the better party who is likely to win or 2. promote radical change by voting third party. Either of these strategies is justifiable.

I have read a lot of moral theory and it never seems to usefully extend a system of simple principles based on intuition. In most cases it is exactly that.

No, the point is that if the complexity of the word "tree" transcends anything you could even remotely attempt to describe in language, how will you find a thought which is the "right one"? You're always going to be wrong, and it is only people who understand that all attempts at being right will make you wrong, who end up being somewhat useful in doing good.

Agree that voting either is good.

What do you mean by the last part?
