this place is kind of dead lately.....

I guess the big migration from reddit never happened.

I kind of like it. The NZ community is still a little small, but some of the other ones are active

That's strange I feel like the opposite. I've got a good collection of subscribed communities now that feel alive and active.

Yes, there is the huge influx of memes from seemingly 15 years ago, BUT at least we're active.

Ah gotcha. I'm sure we will see more and more communities popping up just by the sheer number of connections federated sites offer.

Similar to what happened with Mastodon. You get waves of people jumping in, and with every wave the engagement grows.

The memes are definitely better on lemmy already, anyway.
