They actually make a good case and have the numbers to back it up. AI has gotten quite good at spotting vulnerabilities, acknowledging that doesn't mean being pro-AI. Ignoring it means deliberately allowing vulnerabilities. None of this entails LLM-generated code being merged into GNOME

I understand this is an allegory for pronouns/gender but I'm also dumb, is green supposed to be nonbinary? or are they being encouraged to use neopronouns they don't actually want? Pls dumb down for me

I think they must have accidentally delivered your summer to the wrong address, Europe. We had temperature records and rivers have been at record lows for months

I get the frustration. ADHD meds are not very addictive yet some doctors act like they're prescribing black tar heroin. My GP outright refused because "it's a narcotic!" so I have to get prescriptions from a psychiatrist

Yeah I hear you. I actually enjoy exercise and I still skip it all the time even if I prepared everything lol. It still works as an emergency escape hatch it anxiety gets too hard

Maybe telling them your mental health is bad is only making them more concerned / wanting to be there for you? Maybe tell them you need some space instead? If you make excuses for your behavior, you might lead them to believe you're still interested in a friendship, when you're really not.

Deeper thing is, you shouldn't feel bad about being tired of them. Many friendships drift apart naturally, and it's rarely because of something somebody did wrong. It's also not always mutual. Now I totally understand not wanting the confrontation. Ghosting is honestly the easiest middle ground.

As always, guilt is the core emotion that makes ADHD so hard lol

I have this problem baaad and aside from what others have suggested, exercise is always the key aspect for me. A quick 20-30 minute run can work wonders. My psych told me this is a very effective and simple solution that works for many ADHD folks.

what the fuck is eddsworld I assumed this was like the comic authors personal characters

9.1 GB is pretty big for an ISO. I don't think I've ever waited 2 hours to download a distro

I made the mistake of believing some dumb guide online that recommended the Razer BlackShark v2 Pro for Linux. Literally the volume control is broken out of the box lol.

I just want a wireless headset. For listening to audio. And a mic. Don't care for fancy features. Apparently too much to ask for a linux user.

What are y'all using and how is it working for you?

Apparently, importing ~/.config/kglobalshortcutsrc is enough for the shortcut to show up in the System Settings, but not enough to load the shortcut. Disabling, applying and re-enabling and applying again also doesn't help, and neither does re-assigning to the same shortcut, which resulted in this lovely error dialog.

My parents are looking into getting their own NAS to replace iCloud. I don't really have much experience with that, and zero experience with apple stuff. They are also not very techy, but at least enthusiastic.

Can sombody recommend easy NAS products where you basically just buy a device, do some basic setup, and then it functions as your at-home cloud? I don't want to get roped into doing too much admin for them, but they do already have DDNS for some other smart home crap. Bonus if it's non-US tech.

Personally I run a nextcloud server on a VPS that I could expand, that's not quite selfhosted, I don't know if that integrates well with apple though, are they better off if I just onboard them onto that?

Cheers in advance
