On 15 and 16 October 2026, a crawler that said it belonged to Roblox walked through almost every project on Open3DLab, SFMLab and SmutBase, and proceeded to download complete copies of 1,027 files from 712 projects. 145.5 GB of our creators' work, downloaded for what we assume are AI training purposes.

I still used to frequent it all the way up to last month, for some interesting discussions. But now... it's really become AI-pro^[Yes, I know it's been that way for a while, but either I'm feeling it more or the bots have gamed the website to the point that all you see are announces from big tech companies or people going on about their AI solutions] and any post that even hints about AI existentialism gets immediately cut down.

I find it hard to browse the site anymore, and lament the loss of expert tech discussion in my weekly routine.

It may or may not be merged. Nonetheless it's certainly a step forward into genAI adoption for our beloved OS.

I would really like to know what's going to happen: better code or just the appearance of it?

[...] We should heed the wisdom of the late Carl Sagan that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence: the claims from Coxon and his ilk are the most extraordinary a technologist can make, and we must demand evidence commensurate with the claims. That said, we should not expect the public to understand LLMs, critical infrastructure, bioweapons, extinction biology, etc. — that burden must lie with those making the claim. The lesson that I learned (shamefully) decades ago is that domain experts, by way of their expertise, implicitly hold the public’s trust — and we must not abuse it. It is incumbent upon us to be circumspect in our claims — and maximally so when raising the alarm.

Check what can you use and at what rate of token per seconds would it be... It has examples of many models and quantization levels. Huge resource!
