So I had a look at vote compass and my top three are Green, TOP and TPM

Bottom is ACT as expected.

Has anyone else looked at vote compass this year?

Even though Green lines up "best" with how I answered the survey, I still wouldn't vote for them. I find them too idealistically driven.

I took part in the calibration round. It put me further right than I vote and far to the right of what I believe. Not sure how accurate it really is.

Yeah when you look at its overall political compass it seems a bit unbelievable to have Green much further to the left than Act are to the right.

Were there any discrepancies when you looked at the issues?

I didn't see an option for that. How do you get the calibration round?

On the results page. It asks if you want to assign weight to each policy area.

Oh I didn't realise that's what they were referring to. Thanks!

It's got some odd question choices. I find Winston Peters likeable, but I would never vote for him so don't agree with many of his policies. I reckon he'd be great to go have a beer with :-)

He'd also be great to have a bottle of whiskey with every single afternoon, if the gossip I hear is to be believed 😁

It put me pretty much right where I though I'd be.

TOP was the highest rated party for me, I didn't expect that at all. Second was National and third was ACT, which wasn't a surprise at all.

The quiz positioned me firmly in the lower-left quadrant, with no political parties nearby. I guess I have to work out which of my values to compromise - do I go up or right?

Economic left, social conservative would traditionally be working class, and traditionally be represented by Labour. But I agree with you and the website that Labour has abandoned the working class, leaving no good alternative. I think it's an important factor causing the political unrest at the moment.

TOP has always felt like a wasted vote because they're so damn far from any chance of representing me but tbh, I'm at the point where a wasted vote is the best option.

I got almost dead centre, economic left and social conservative by less than one grid square, the closest to me is National.

In terms of parties, I got TOP, National, Act. I guess wealth taxes weren't part of the questions.
