Mine is the Orange Cream Coke Zero. I'll be devastated when they inevitably discontinue it.

Ginger beer. It's a great drink, and it's helpful if you have a tummy ache.

https://www.manhattanspecial.com/

Manhattan Special Espresso soda. The original energy drink. Three bottles will give you palpitations.

[–] LAN_Mower@lemmybefree.net 9 points 9 months ago

Bawls.

I like the soda.

I hate calling in companies to ask if it's in stock. "Excuse me do you have any Bawls?"

Sarsaparilla is also great, if you can find it.

Patrolling the Mojave wasteland almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

[–] statler_waldorf@sopuli.xyz 4 points 9 months ago

I struggle finding good ones. Too many of them are syrupy sweet and don't have that minty bite.

[–] Nemo@slrpnk.net 3 points 9 months ago

specifically Sprechers

[–] anon6789@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago

Those limited Cokes keep breaking my heart. So many of them have been good. The Spice and the Rosalia have been my favs, but the space flavored one and the League of Legends ones were good too.

I also like the Pepsi and Mt Dew with real sugar when I can find them, and Cheerwine also needs wider distribution.

Despite what it sounds like, I don't drink massive amounts of soda, I just like trying the new flavors and regional stuff as I find it.

[–] Emi@ani.social 6 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Kofola , it's less sweet than the others and imo better taste(more mild/herbal?) . hate how every soda has to be ultra sweet.

[–] pilferjinx@piefed.social 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Yeah the sugar content is too much. I've been looking at making my own sodas but I'm not sure if I can take on another hobby right now.

[–] Emi@ani.social 2 points 9 months ago

You could use soda stream to make the soda water and add syrup as you like. That's what I do when I want just something fissy.

[–] otp@sh.itjust.works 6 points 9 months ago

Dr Pepper. And Vanilla Coke!

[–] itkovian@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Lime soda with salt. It's available across India. It's so refreshing.

[–] higgsboson@piefed.social 5 points 9 months ago (2 children)

There are slightly salty carbonated electrolyte soda drinks all over Asia. I wish we had them here.

Root beer. It's insidious.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 5 points 9 months ago

Birch beer, followed by Dr. Pepper and the cranberry ginger ale.

[–] Twongo@lemmy.ml 5 points 9 months ago

Paulaner Spezi 🤤🤤

[–] droning_in_my_ears@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

There was this green apple flavored soda that was basically candy but I loved it

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 4 points 9 months ago

Oettinger Malz

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 4 points 9 months ago

Trocadero/Champis/Pommac

[–] nocturne@slrpnk.net 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Kutztown Soda Work's Birch Beer by far is my favorite soda. Luckily it is really difficult to find outside of central PA, i am already far too overweight.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Excellent stuff I really miss that but no longer have reason to goto that part of PA

[–] nocturne@slrpnk.net 2 points 9 months ago

Kutztown soda, Clover farm's icy Tea, Unique Pretzels, so much fantastic regional food out of Berks County.

[–] Pipster@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 9 months ago

Dandelion and Burdock, the Fentiman's one is particularly good.

[–] _deleted_@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago

I like River Port Olde Style Lime, and sometimes Raspberry, but they’re hard to find, as most places just carry drinks from the big two brands.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

Seagram's ginger ale is the nectar of the gods.

Canada Dry is also acceptable.

Schweppes is dirty trash water.

  1. Mexican coke if it's fresh and the cane sugar hasn't turned to fructose

  2. Root beer - Gotta be sprechers or dog n suds

  3. Ting 🤤 and to a lesser extent Kola Champagne, god bless jerk shops

  4. Dr Pepper strawberries & cream fucks, but it doesn't come in glass bottles and they really gotta fix that

[–] canofcam@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (3 children)

Jarritos and it isn't close. The Mandarin flavour. Mexican sugar is next level.

I also think Coke itself is 'underrated' I would go so far as to say it's an elixir. Hungover? Need a pick-me-up? Just want a nice drink with dinner? It's insanely good, probably why it got so popular in the first place. You can say the same for any sugary soft drink though.

[–] TheOakTree@lemmy.zip 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I'm practically addicted to Jarritos mandarin and mango flavors. It's hard to buy the 1.5L and not finish them in a day or two, so I just don't buy them anymore. I need to try the guava flavor some day.

Jarritos grapefruit, except it's too sweet. That flavor is amazing, I just have to cut it with lime and some soda water (or better, lime and tequila for the best Paloma)

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Jarritos is good, but sooooo much sugar

I love Moxie, but it's a regional thing from Maine and it's rather rare here in the bible belt.

As a mix drink, 1 part gin, 1 part jager, 1 part amaretto, 2 marachino cherries, and 6 parts moxie, wide glass on the rocks. It's like drinking the holiday season in a snowy evergreen forest.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

NOS.

The only thing I hate about it is the price. This shit is expensive (like $5/can) 😩

[–] BurgerBaron@piefed.social 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Vanilla Cola. I don't buy American soda anymore but Coca Cola...I haven't found any of the Vanilla variant in a couple years now anyways.

[–] Mossheart@lemmy.ca 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Vanilla coke is the bomb and I'll be forever resentful that they made it so scarce. There was a brief moment where it came back for me, but it's gone again now.

[–] BurgerBaron@piefed.social 1 points 9 months ago

I still drink it tho (as a zero cal) since it's basically just Cola of your choice mixed 50/50 with a clear cream soda.

[–] Bazoogle@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago
[–] FigMcLargeHuge@sh.itjust.works 2 points 9 months ago

Creme Soda. Oddly enough the cheapest ones seem to be the best in my opinion.

[–] KittenBiscuits@lemmy.today 2 points 9 months ago

I'm a basic diet cokehead. But I tried a Stoney Tangawizi on holiday once and was instantly in love. I find it very frustrating that with the sheer variety of ethnic shops around the DC region*, I couldn't find it locally!

*when I lived there anyway, in the before times

[–] RBWells@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

My favorite now are home fermented, kvass, tepache, ginger beer. Tepache my favorite of those.

Coke Zero, I try not to buy it much but still really like it.

[–] Kennystillalive@feddit.org 2 points 9 months ago

Happy Cola Yuzu Zero was great. Still miss it🥲

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Dr Pepper, no contest! This past year my company had a change of ceo and the new guy is a little less health conscious so now they stock Dr Pepper!

Jarritos Tamarind is outstanding, also one of my kids favorites!

Lime Diet Coke is back in stores!

Still looking for that legendary Birch Beer I had when I was a kid

[–] helpImTrappedOnline@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

I like to get the ones with "cane sugar" not corn syrup, otherwise its root beer - probably the only one I'm not too picky about brand.

[–] SpiceDealer@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 9 months ago

Monster Reverse Orange Dreamsicle. Worth every calorie and the liver damage.
