It honestly looks wild, if you have never watched a video of it you should it is hilarious.

I've had a few friends that had weasels and they did this to me. I thought it was just them being cute.

I did not realize that they were trying to build up their limit breaker to kill and eat me.

To be fair, a lot of 'play' behaviour in cats and dog is largely hunting instinct behaviour too.

[–] rhombus@sh.itjust.works 12 points 3 months ago

They also do it when they play with each other, so they probably were just being cute.

Too much editing in this clip

[–] blackbrook@mander.xyz 11 points 3 months ago

With the editing of this, you can't really get a proper sense of it.

Roll, roll, roll, roll, roll, strike, retreat, roll, roll, potion, roll, roll, strike!

[–] Photonic@lemmy.world 40 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Did you mean: “Roll, roll, roll your stoat, gently down the stream”?

[–] RamenJunkie@midwest.social 12 points 3 months ago

Ain't nothing gentle here.

"Rip and tear rodent throats out, so they'll never screeeeeaaaam"

(I know I know rabbits aren't rodents, but lagomorph is hard to put in a song)

[–] Curiousfur@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Rip the rabbits throat out, so it cannot scream?

[–] psud@aussie.zone 3 points 3 months ago

Go with bunny rather than rabbit, it fits better

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

"He's got huge, sharp - eh - he can leap about - look at the bones!"

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Twice the size of them...selves?

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

yeah wtf is that sentence. I think they meant "stoats hunt animals twice their size" and royally fucked it

[–] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, I wish there was more crossover between c/science_memes and c/grammar_and_composition_memes. What does that last sentence mean at all?

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

No punctuation either its like they just typed it out as it came to mind and they hit enter does anyone want a sandwich

[–] Psythik@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

So it's probably a bad idea to get a Weasel as a pet if you have cats, huh.

Edit: Or even a small dog

[–] Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 months ago

Can confirm. I had a ferret that would jump onto the back of our terrier after war dancing around it. After witnessing that a few times we kept them separated. Our dog had no chill and didn't want to play that way.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

That's exactly how we hunted wooly mammoths.

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Evolutionary origin of ADHD?

[–] baconsunday@lemmy.zip 6 points 3 months ago

The writing on this though

[–] AnimalsDream@slrpnk.net 6 points 3 months ago

Can we get one as a *Souls boss?

[–] Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca 6 points 3 months ago

Over the course of 2 decades I had 8 different ferrets. They all did this; it was adorable and hilarious.

[–] sydd@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Once a stoat wandered through my apartment. At the time I had a bit of a mouse problem. It was so surreal seeing this white noodle slink across my floor like a living squirmle.

[–] PugJesus@piefed.social 3 points 3 months ago

@rickyrigatoni@retrolemmy.com your people

[–] HMWYSPlease@lemmy.org 3 points 3 months ago

...Wait until you read about how they feed/eat. Fucking brutal.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 months ago
[–] MonkeMischief@lemmy.today 2 points 3 months ago

At first I was a little annoyed by the change of "Revolt" messenger to "Stoat."

...I like it better now!

[–] j4k3@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Saw it on the Big Island in Hawaii. Bat shit amazing.

They're just Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance fans, don't worry about it.
