Just got back from seeing Brian Cox's new show Emergance. Bloody spectacular! A great way to spend 3 hours. Listening to a Englishman describe planc length, multi universe therory and everything inbetween, all with cool visualizations and a light show.

I have seen it described as "A fancy power point presentation." and mayby it is, but, it would be the fanciest slideshow I ever did see. A lot of really cool galaxy scapes and star scapes all compiled from really recent data from James Webb telescope, Vera Rubin Observatory and The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument "DESI". Oh and a live feed from the International Space Station during the break.

Fully recomend you go see it if you get the chance! He is in Auckland on Thursday and Wellington on Saturday, which is really late notice but i still recommend it.

That sounds amazing! I've seen a few TV shows with Brian Cox and always thought he was great. I feel like I first saw him on QI!

This does sound like a great show, but like you say pretty short notice haha

It would be cool... But it's too far from me. Would have been nice in school holidays, I'll be in Wellington.....

Oh well.

I just want to know if he willingly looks like he's doing an Elon cosplay, or if he lost a bet, or something..?

Musk is younger. I think Cox is going for more a Beetles vibe.

Your first link is the Actor not the Physicist.

Looks like his wife has since left the group. Although still concerning Brian Cox is not his wife.

oh shoot my bad - yeah I'll redact that!

I got confused because of his wife and the story about Robin Ince having to step away from The Infinite Monkeys Cage due to his pro-trans, pro-Palestinian and anti-trump comments on socials - to which Brian hasn't said anything and is continuing with the show without Robin (which imo feels Cox is at the very least fence-sitting)
