Soon we’re all going to have to start doing this, because there are now stories of city councils and voters voting to remove the flock cameras, yet the cops continue to operate them. Rule of law doesn’t exist anymore.

pretty sure this guy is in Virginia where that story happened.

Not all heroes wear capes.

[–] matthurtme@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I heard that capes can get you killed

[–] Armand1@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Did Edna Mode tell you that? She was correct.

Don't just saw down flock surveillance cameras. Repurpose those solar panels so they can do some good.

Probably don't want to add theft to destruction of property charges, especially since at a certain $ value stolen it gets bumped up to a felony but ianal.

Not when the coat are artificially inflated due to corruption.

Yeah nothing sold to the government by a virtual monopoly is cheap. They probably get $10k per camera or something crazy (for maybe $200 hardware cost).

Flock charges $350 per solar panel replacement , if you are in California it'd take a little less than 3 solar panels for it to reach a felony charge at $950. Again IANAL.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

Sounds like we just need every Californian to take down two panels

Make sure they don't have done tracking device

Closed metal toolbox should do it. Or a grandma cookie tin with lid if it’ll fit. Or take it to random woods or playgrounds array from home base and let random teens destroy it.
