There are so many ways to do it. You have an alien robot who dies, then comes back as a ghost. Or an Alien Ghost in the Machine. Or a ghost alien has sex with a robot and their child is half ghost alien, half robot. Or an alien... fuck, I'm getting dizzy. Need to go huff more cough medicine.

I am on that list for some reason. I have no idea what Tesseract is, I have no interest in Tesseract or its creator and I don't give a shit about any of this.
But when it was brought to my attention that I am on this rando's shit list, I took a minute to go to his community - hosted on his own instance apparently - and left a comment on his thread about the blacklist to tell him he's just not that important. And now I'm banned from his instance altogether apparently.
And you know what? Strangely enough, I still don't give a shit 🙂
But I will say this: what a sad, empty life this poor man must lead to feel the need to curate a Fediverse blacklist.
There's only like 20 people that post on this thing and apparently he blocked like 75% of them.
All the more despondency I feel being weighed, measured, and found acceptable

Just imagine how much his entire little world must be imploding right now.
He really thought he'd figured it out. Found a way to control and censor Lemmy to his liking, without anybody ever being the wiser. But then one day, out of nowhere, he gets found out. Now he's a laughing stock and pariah across all of Lemmy, and his censorship scheme is done, instances dropping his frontend left and right. And, worse, he keeps digging himself deeper, making alt accounts and trying to argue his case ... and people keep seeing through the alt accounts and giving him even more shit for it. And to top it all off, he doesn't have enough self-awareness to ever ask "am I the asshole here?" -- he just keeps whining about how unfair this all is to him.
And the best part is, he deserves every bit of that.
Idk he can just make a new account using a private frontend that does all the same blocking
He can block things for himself, sure. But everybody can do that. You don't need to develop a whole frontend for that, it's a feature of Lemmy that you can block whoever you want.
What he's now missing out on is that he can no longer block things for other people, like he so desperately wants to do.

I'm just so tired, man. Such a fucking reddit-esque drama it is. Bunch of dudes getting obnoxiously excited about a nothingburger, repeating over and over how it feels great to be on some list and that they sooo don't give a fuck about it. They less they give a fuck, the more they post about it.
Look here, kid. We both never heard of tesseract before. I've never heard of you before. You're just a username to me. I don't give a fuck you yield a search result on some fucking github repo.

Idk, but when I do something and my number for that thing gets big it helps me forget what a failure I am for a few seconds. So it works the same as reddit karma.

The issue isn't who or what was on the list, the issue is that the list was hidden. One of the biggest issues with Reddit is that they can censor people they disagree with even against the will of the users. Tesseract was doing exactly that on a platform specifically designed to prevent it.
Sure, different instances can have their own block lists, and users need to find one that works for them, but those are all clearly listed. This one was hidden, causing people who thought they were getting all the information available to them on this platform to instead be getting a tailored list of only what information was deemed acceptable by some person they don't even know. It's a major problem.
