We need to stop pussyfooting. This is embarrassing.

People over 65 shouldnt hold office. Full fucking stop there.

If you're absent for 30 days, you should need a bipartisan review of your well being.

This is a fucking circus.

These men own the little man, not only do they know but they are boldly gloating. Its slavery dressed up.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 2 points 23 minutes ago

Shoulda followed him to his car, snapped the car/plate, cast a wider net.

What a smarmy slimeball of a human.

[–] Avicenna@programming.dev 4 points 2 hours ago

Typical right wing troll behaviour, making unfounded assumptions about someone to try to piss them off.

[–] Xraygoggles@lemmy.world 18 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Is it possible he scanned that guy with his phone right there? Fed it into a facial DB and got a profile then decided to break out the no job wise crack? Saw he lives at home so brought up telling his mother?

I'm not familiar with he response speed of those apps, but I've heard of them being used. Trying to decide if that's plausible.

[–] LSNLDN@slrpnk.net 4 points 2 hours ago

Yeah I bet he works for Palantir and that you are right

[–] Pennywise@quokk.au 23 points 7 hours ago

Where's a Luigi when you need one?

This is Steven J. Law

He is the closest aide of McConnell and his money man.

He is the CEO of the US Senate Leadership Fund.

For decades, Mitch McConell wielded huge power in the US Senate. Not because people liked him. Or respected him. But because all Republicans feared him. McConnell was a prodigious fundraiser with CEOs and Billionaires. He controlled the US Senate Leadership Fund. This is a fund with millions of dollars. And it can be used to support the reelection of Republican Senators by buying television ads. Those who opposed McConnell were denied access to the money.

Steven J. Law was instrumental in the Citizens United Supreme Court decision that ended limits on campaign contributions. He was McConnell's connection with CEO and Billionaires. His gatekeeper. Anytime a CEO needed something from US Senators, he called this dude.

On his personal page at Georgetown University, Steven J. Law bragged that he helped kill the Employee Free Choice Act

https://politics.georgetown.edu/profiles/steven-law/

This is a bill that was supposed to make it easier to join a labor union. Bernie Sanders supported it. He brags about killing it

The guy in this video is the most powerful political operative in Washington DC

You can literally tell within like 10 seconds in that this guy sucks.

[–] EntheoNaut@lemmy.ml 16 points 9 hours ago

Within .1 seconds, obviously that silver cracker pos smiling out the door was enough to know.

[–] theedqueen@lemmy.world 40 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I didn’t play sound and you can tell through the screen he’s a smarmy POS

[–] groucho@retrolemmy.com 16 points 11 hours ago

I just looked at his picture and that was enough.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

True. I think “suck” is not harsh enough.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 4 points 11 hours ago

Grass is green, the sky is blue indeed

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 39 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

The guy in this video is the most powerful political operative in Washington DC

And, he just walks around on the street alone?

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 49 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (3 children)

Incredibly common. The tech billionaire crowd has been eaten alive by paranoia, so they surround themselves with layers of security. But the vast majority of the bourgeois sleep like babies because ain't nobody out there doing shit, at the end of the day

[–] HasturInYellow@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

I should move to DC....

[–] Blibly@lemmy.world 25 points 10 hours ago

Not enough Luigis

[–] Chozo@fedia.io 108 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

What a wildly suspicious response to being asked for an update on somebody's wellbeing. I think that just about confirms that Bitch McConnell is dead, and likely has been for quite some time.

[–] thallamabond@lemmy.world 42 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Mitch McConnel is not dead, and he will never be dead. He just works from home now.

[–] tektite@slrpnk.net 12 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Home, home in the grave...

[–] shartgargle@lemmy.zip 4 points 7 hours ago

Hell, more specifically.

[–] scroll_responsibly@lemmy.sdf.org 16 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Scientology style speedrun when? (For legal purposes, that was a joke)

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 62 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Do methheads know that Steven J. Law is full of copper?

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 13 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Lmfao this is getting out of hand, the price of copper I mean

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 15 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

If Mitch McConnell is dead, we need to verify the actual date of death and if it’s before that special election deadline, they should have one anyway even if it’s already beyond that date.

He would have loved it if we broke the rules on a technicality to get what we wanted.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 6 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

The special election thing was Republicans trying to limit the power of the incoming Democratic Governor.

It's likely unconstitutional, and Bashear has indicated that he'll ignore it when the time comes. Also the Republicans are terrified of any election at this point.

They delay now to barely "hold" the seat, hoping that Trump somehow becomes competent before November.

[–] shartgargle@lemmy.zip 11 points 7 hours ago

They don't care or need him to suddenly become competent. They're hoping he brutally takes all power, competency be damned.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 31 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

He's even more powerful now that Mitch is dead. He can do anything and say it's what Mitch wants.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 16 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Explains the shit eating grin

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 9 points 9 hours ago

That’s the smile of a rich asshole. I know a couple through my job. It’s part of their superiority complex.

[–] underscores@lemmy.zip 14 points 9 hours ago

reptilian ass mf smiling all the way to his car

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 48 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Punch that cunt in the head. Look at him. Not afraid of shit, acting with impunity. Smiling. Fuck that. You ain't a fucken king.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 15 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Guys like this deserve a week in the care of David Parker Ray. I don't want to see him smile like that ever again.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 21 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

This is why people need to get angry more often. Dude filming just took it. I would have been yelling so loud you wouldn't hear shit eater grinning over there. His heart should have been racing. He should have been asking, "is this guy gonna Luigi me?"

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 7 points 5 hours ago

Guys like this would see that as them winning because they successfully got under your skin and distracted you from your purpose.

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 27 points 12 hours ago

Bold of him to just walk the streets without a security detail. It’s dangerous out there, he needs to be more careful. :)

[–] stretch2m@infosec.pub 8 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Some day, someone is going to wipe that smug smile off his face.

[–] shartgargle@lemmy.zip 5 points 7 hours ago

Unfortunately it'll probably be senility.

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 8 points 11 hours ago

What even is that title.

[–] Telodzrum@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

Those cuffs are gauche af.

[–] Danarchy 1 points 9 hours ago
