The bag should have been printed so the vent was on the back side with the backside of the critter centered over it. Also their website is great! I had to check it out because that art is wild
That looks like a bag of pot.
Wow this looks great, but have you considered instant coffee with heavy amounts of creamer?
I should do a fully pretentious mock post comparing instant coffee done as lazily as possible to the most over-the-top snobbish espresso that’s ever been made. That sounds like fun actually.
Yes. As lazy as possible. Coffee granules and puddles of milk everywhere. Maybe it's just the almost empty jar because it had just enough instant for one cup anyway
That would be hilarious. Maybe I’ll make a post here first asking for the laziest, most offensive coffee “recipe” and see what wins. I already have an idea for the pretentious one. Then maybe I could do a “blind taste test” or something.
Have to use milk just this side of spoilage.
Are you REALLY into coffee, or just ideal coffee?
You best be using powdered nondairy
Full artificial creamer - Full hazelnut.
No hazelnuts. This is pumpkin spice season
Just a lil dab from the pie filling can
Pumpkin milk latte? Yes please!
Do you reconstitute the instant coffee in the creamer instead of water?
..... This is a brilliant idea. I know what I'm doing on Saturday morning

Burn the witch!
When I would drink wine more often, I would get my favorite bottle, and then walk around looking at labels, picking something just based on how it looked.
I found a lot of interesting selections that way.
Since we're going on tangents, I enjoy cannabis and one of my top ways to resupply is asking for the ones with the strangest names. Cheetah Piss stands out to me and also ended up one of my favorite strains
I got one called Pot Roast and it had a meaty aroma just like you opened the lid to a cooking roast. It was weird but very alluring
I love giving budtenders my budget and that request because their eyes always light up and they go hunting excitedly around gathering little jars and tubes in their arms like a witch about to concoct a potion
You said you drink wine so I assume you enjoy smelling them as much as I enjoy smelling the various strains. They're all unique and have an incredible range of aromas from dirt to citrus, diesel being among my favorite
You probably ended up in the natural wine band wagon by doing this. That's how I got in. Never to be able to escape anymore :)
My wife has been really into wine lately, which means I have been too, and we’ve been doing that a lot. It’s fun to buy by the bottle.
The best wine is in boxes and they have that shiny pillow inside you can sleep on after.
I only buy them for the pillows.
Interesting. I always pick the very ugliest most boring wine labels. There is clearly so much attention seeking design on wine labels that is borrowed from the sugar drink industry where it literally doesn't matter what is in the can because it's going to have about the same level of sugar that people enjoy as everything else. In sugar drinks you fly or fall based on labeling and marketing. I figure if a wine can survive without any label pandering, there's at least a decent chance that it's probably pretty good.
Last time I tried going with ugly labels at total wine I went 0/3. Boring labels are usually OK but I usually scan them with vivino.
Cool labels are usually meh but I found a few that are pretty good and not so expensive
Well just for fun here's a random very good wine picked from my cellar tracker with a boring ass label.

Label shopping is a last resort if you end up in a shop with unknowledgable staff. Typically I just name a varietal and a max price point and let a good wine shop employee show me their recommendation. Rarely go wrong with that.
Don't get distracted by labels. Look for unique PACKAGING. That's how I found all my favorite wines:

P.S. It's not the 1800s anymore, they've invented boxes by now.
Oooh. Fresh and dry.
Where the inspiration for Derpy and Sussie from Kpop Demon Hunters https://kpop-demon-hunters.fandom.com/wiki/Derpy_and_Sussie
Oh neat! Thanks for the links. That was cool to learn about.
de mello is pretty good espresso roaster
I’m looking forward to trying their other options in the future.
Did you put Gagguino on that lady?
Not yet. I’m leaning more towards Gaggimate at the moment actually but I’ve got a few purchases first before that happens. I just bought a Cafelat Robot and now I need to save up for a grinder, but the Gaggimate will come.
Goddamn that's a fully featured prebuilt kit, and not too expensive. Impressive. I'm using an old Silvia with PID and unlikely to change it but I'd probably get this if I had a Gaggia.
The fact that they aren't googly is a fucking tragedy.
Very nice! Have you modded your Gaggia?
Only a little bit so far. I’ve done:
- 9 bar OPV spring
- Low profile drip tray
- Extra long waste water straw to better fit the lower drip tray
- Single hole steam wand tip
I think that’s it so far. I eventually want to get a Gaggimate but I have other purchases first. I just bought a Cafelat Robot yesterday (ridiculously excited to get it in the mail), and now I’m saving up for a new grinder, and then I’ll get the Gaggimate. So it might be a little while yet, but I’ll get it at some point. I also have a few accessories I want to get, a couple of which are $100-200 so that’ll delay the Gaggimate too most likely. But I’ll have one some day for sure.
Really nice! I’m excited for you both for the robot and the mods and plans for your Gaggia!
I have a MaraX that I’ve adjusted for 9 bar, though I seldom reach that these days since I’m mostly doing turbo shots 2.8 to 3 ratios with fruity light roasts.
I really want a lever machine (maybe a pre-mill Pavoni) but I’m short on space at the moment!
That’sa really nice lever machine. I like the style of the Robot which is a big reason I went for it but Pavoni makes really good ones too. Whenever my Robot comes in the mail I’ll make a few posts about it here, I look forward to doing that.
I look forward to seeing your posts and hearing about your experience with the robot!
That’s some cup!
Thanks! It’s Propel by Kruve out in Toronto. It’s double walled on the bottom where you hold it and the drink sits, single walled at the top where you sip. It also has internal fins to destratisfy the oils in the shot so you can just swirl instead of having to stir. Really neat design. I got them from Cafuné from Montreal:

Not me with every bag of Dark Matter I’ve bought

My favorite roaster
Those look pretty neat.
