Well...sorta πŸ˜†
The lady doing it didn't pluck that many. Which means, the difference is quite small and subtle...BUT, up close you can definitely tell something's different! You probably can't even tell from the pictures tho...

Also got to visit my mom and finally told her about SRS in Thailand. She didn't know I was planning Thailand. I didn't tell her, because she was super worried about me getting SRS in general, but she was extremely supportive β™₯️

As I was leaving, she gave me a really pretty colorful coat, so that I wouldn't freeze on my way home πŸ˜‚. And she told me I could keep it! So I got a new, pretty and surprisingly form-fitting coat. Normal coats make me look rectangular and, quite honestly, fat lol, but this one makes me look slim and really nice. You probably can't tell from the picture, but I still like it!

When I got back home tho, I gotta say...wearing the new coat, with my slightly different eyebrows, my slightly frozen face looked really damn cute in the mirror, or at least I thought so. That hasn't happened in a long time πŸ’œ

Also...I could just be imagining it, but...my cheeks just seem fatter, but like in a good way? I used to be a literal skeleton pre-HRT, face included, so I think it makes me look at least a little bit healthier, lol

Honestly, successful day. Really glad I got up today πŸ˜‚πŸ©·

[-] AnxiousMiisha@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 6 hours ago

Still glad I did this tho. This is probably the first time I've had anything "cosmetic" done professionally, excluding haircuts.

LOL
Extremely true. I like it too :D

The aura says it all... and so do the eyebrows! 😍 love it!

[-] AnxiousMiisha@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 6 hours ago

I think I can see the difference, also that smile in the last pic is really sweet, you look really confident!

[-] AnxiousMiisha@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 6 hours ago

Awww πŸ₯Ί thank you...
Definitely not confident, but talking to my mom always improves my mood drastically. She's the biggest ally, right after my bf.
Which is kinda funny, because we went from literally hating each other pre-HRT to talking like best friends. HRT saves family relationships fr! πŸ˜†

Original comment content, inappropriate and somewhat mean

Woah, nerdy T-shirt! Not particularly feminine though

Edit: that does not mean it's not 100β€Š% fine to be worn by a woman, just imposes consideration on its usefulness in accomplishing a goal in some settings. I like the design, and the cut might be adjusted by resewing around the waist to improve it.

[-] AnxiousMiisha@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 7 hours ago

I don't...really have that much to say about that, so here's a meme instead

[-] DaPorkchop_@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 hours ago

this is a cute meme and also i want to steal alex's skirt

[-] AnxiousMiisha@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 hour ago

Yessss
Alex's skirt is so pretty! ❀️

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 1 points 6 hours ago

Yes. You're valid either way!

[-] katiecakes@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 6 hours ago

I really don't think this is appropriate. I'm femme and wear nerdy tshirts all the time. You do not make that distinction, the wearer does.

Please don't give advice that isn't asked for.

[-] DaPorkchop_@lemmy.ml 6 points 16 hours ago

who says it has to be "particularly feminine"? i know plenty of cis girls who regularly wear t-shirts like that, not sure what the problem is supposed to be. like sure, it's not a flowery dress, but girls can, in fact, wear other clothes too.

kind of an asshole thing to say tbh, especially since i've seen you engage with OP on multiple other occasions (positively!) and there's no question that you're aware of her issues wrt self-image and self-esteem.

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 1 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

I'm trying to offer constructive criticism (of a piece of clothing, not a person!) I've complimented her a lot in the past 30 days in a private chat and I think it's fine to demonstrate honesty even when not as aligned with her gender as it could be, if only to show I haven't been just blindly giving out affirmations.

Point taken though, I should have phrased that better, like "cool for casual friendly environments, especially where people know and appreciate your nerdiness but you have better tops to go to town in"

I do like that T-shirt design, and would wear it but I think there are ways to make it look more feminine (tighten around her slim waist, maybe?) It looks slightly oversized, which may make it a nice cozy one at home and Miisha does look happy wearing it, which is the key factor, but she has shown she can do better when presenting as female. The long-term solution is to abolish norms of what men and women "should" wear of course.

[-] Nikki@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 6 hours ago

dont provide criticism when it isnt asked for is the takeaway here :)

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 4 points 6 hours ago

You're right, that was mean. I forgot that maximizing femininity at all times is not what MtF people do or should do.

Good thing it doesn't have to be a competition. 😊

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 1 points 8 hours ago

It's not but some clothes are better at something than others. It looks cozy and nerdy, seems great for the home, time with family or friends or for hacker conventions, but she has more fitting (literally, too) tops to go to town in.

[-] katiecakes@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 6 hours ago

Clothes only accomplish what the wearer intends them to. Telling a stranger what is appropriate for them to wear in and out of the house is wild, and borderline harmful.
