I'd rather not speculate. There's enough shit that's plainly visible that we don't need to guess at things.

[-] Hegar@fedia.io 26 points 2 days ago

It's not a guess, he said so on camera.

Why does every woman in his circle look like a low rent porn star?

[-] AcidBurn@retrofed.com 15 points 1 day ago

Woah, woah, woah

Do NOT associate those fine upstanding pillars of society with people who work for Trump, thank you very much

Hey guys, I'm starting to believe that the people Trump puts in those important positions aren't selected for their competence.

[-] rustydrd@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

What do you mean? She clearly has MAGA face. Isn't that the competence that's required?

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Incorrect. She is clearly blondish.

[-] blattrules@lemmy.world 39 points 2 days ago

As dumb as Trump is, I doubt he even knows how to pick a competent person for any job.

[-] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 30 points 2 days ago

He makes his choices based on his desire to be the smartest person in the room.

One of the complaints he had from his first term was that he was prevented from doing things because he was surrounded by "people who think they're smarter than me"...

[-] mercano@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

His lawyers, for all their failings, have managed to keep him out of prison so far. (Having a few judges in his pocket doesn’t hurt.)

[-] freely1333@reddthat.com 21 points 2 days ago

Tbf the us citizens at large kept him out of prison via the vote. I mean he probably wouldn’t have gone to prison because he’s rich and connected to all the people he pretends to hate and pretend to hate him but the voters at least put the nail in the coffin on the idea.

[-] blattrules@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

Yeah, his lawyers don’t have that great a track record; Giuliani was his lawyer for a while. He probably gets lucky occasionally, but I really think he’s too stupid to know the difference between a competent an incompetent person in any field.

Well...He was convicted on 34 criminal counts. He didn't go to prison only because of a feckless judge who was too scared of his responsibility to give a meaningful sentence and didn't punish him at all.

Cosmetic Surgeon: So what kind of work did you want to get done?

Sycophant #273: I want my cheekbones doubled and my lips filled in with silicon. Not silicone, that's too woke.

How many Mooches do we think she'll last?

[-] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 31 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

From the Guardian today, who are calling her the Zachbot due to her flattened, AI-like portrayal of a human press secretary:

How long can she last? Trump said soon after: “I thought she was very good.” But the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump group, tweeted an image of the Zachbot beside a lettuce to evoke Liz Truss, who lasted only 49 days as British prime minister.

And Anthony Scaramucci, who was Trump’s communications director for just 11 days, a period now known as “a Scaramucci”, tweeted: “The clock is running. Thus far 1/11th of a Scaramucci.”

When the Mooch is giving you the Grim Reaper treatment, it might be time to self-terminate.

Designated Blond #???...

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 44 points 2 days ago

By September 2025, Zacharia had worked as legal advisor for Fix California, a political organization; had served on the board of advisors at White Rose Resistance, an antiabortion advocacy group; and was a member of the Pepperdine University School of Law's dean council. She had additionally served as director of development for special projects at Pepperdine University.

Pepperdine University is a private research university affiliated with the Churches of Christ

:-|

Zacharia became deputy assistant secretary of homeland security for public affairs in February 2026. She announced her resignation the following month. According to CNN, Zacharia, who lived in California, told an associate that commuting to the Department of Homeland Security's headquarters in Washington, D.C., was not sustainable. In June, Zacharia became a communications advisor to the Trump Media and Technology Group.

Classic case of failing upwards.

[-] savvie@lemmy.zip 35 points 2 days ago

White House press secretary Katie Zacharia’s debut was so poor it made Karoline Leavitt look like Cicero.

The newly appointed press secretary spoke slowly and awkwardly during her debut press conference Tuesday, as if she had never seen or uttered the words in front of her prior to taking the podium. Her cadence was clunky, closer to that of a fourth grader reading school announcements over an intercom than a polished political communications professional. It’s clear she was never meant to be more than another blonde conservative placeholder on Fox News. The SNL spoof feels imminent.

Hummm ... opened shirt and 2 precisely positioned gold buttons are, it seems, on purpose ... to distract from an empty discourse and likewise head and boss ?

[-] ramble81@lemmy.zip 20 points 2 days ago

Honestly I didn’t even notice either I those. I just noticed the face that has had some work done on it and the “my boss wishes I was his daughter” overall look.

[-] Serinus@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago

I thought she did okay for a high school valedictorian speech.

Of course a professional wouldn't need to look down to read their own name.

[-] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I don't even think it was quite that level. It came off to me as someone presenting for a a highschool group project that didn't do any of the work, so they were forced to present. It genuinely seemed like the first time she ever read the info.

Jesus Christ she looks like a cadaver

[-] Etterra@discuss.online 3 points 1 day ago

There's some other bitch that looks even worse. She's the wife of one of his boot lickers, and has had a botched surgery that makes her look just cadaverous.

I kept getting "everywhere, like such as" energy here.
