Trump told Bill Maher not to call him again after the comedian defended their White House dinners while continuing to criticize the president.

They're both total losers.

[-] Formfiller@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago

Who the fuck cares?

[-] tastetheplague@sh.itjust.works 7 points 13 hours ago

Takes one to know one, I guess.

[-] Snowies@lemmy.zip 17 points 17 hours ago

Bill Maher just tied himself to the cuck chair and then his wife handed him divorce papers while leaving with her boyfriend.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 15 points 19 hours ago

LOL, all that sucking up didn't really do much for Maher, I guess.

I still watch him as almost a hate-watch, and skip over the worst instances of his guests as they usually have very uninteresting things to say. His monologue has really gone downhill and his nonsense takes on trans and Israel/Palestine is just.....facepalm.

It's like he's someone that absorbed all the takes of the Murc's Law Media from c. 1990s (and the early 90s, before most people started using the 'net, not even the later 90s when the fever started to show signs of breaking, just before 9/11 set things back for a bit) and then just stayed in that mindset related to Israel especially.

He seems to have really internalized the bullshit narrative that being critical of Israel is "antisemitic". What a fucking hot steaming load that is.

Just found out about the 'I Hate Bill Maher' Podcast, where some comedian hate-watches Maher's show and then mocks him on a podcast. The roasting was so much funnier than Maher's attempts at jokes, though I slightly worry that it's a bit like The Necessary Conversation in that it might just be mocking a senile old person for being senile.

I can't even hate-watch him. The way he delivers his unfunny jokes while smirking like he's the smartest guy on the planet and some pathetic loser guest chuckles off camera is completely unbearable for me.

I tried a few years back and I couldn't either

Bill Maher is the quintessential plant from billionaires to be controlled opposition.

Beyond that he's also just an insanely intolerable douchebag with a pretentious rich asshole demeanor. Its a wonder why any average Joe ever liked him or his shitty show to begin with.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago

Eh, at one point, his schtick of pissing off lots of people did have a certain charm and he was a bit sharper in the past. Is he someone I'd want to hang with? Hell to the fuck no. I'm quite sure he'd be absolutely insufferable and I would think getting high with him would be hell on Earth.

Do I still watch his show even now? Well, yeah. Do I fast forward a lot? Oh lordy yes. Especially when his guest is an even bigger douche bag.

[-] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 9 points 18 hours ago

I think "comedians" who predominantly punch down to trans people and then soften to billionaire pedophile rapists simply because it'd be punching up are probably less deserving of a time slot in your week than just about anyone. Cowards aren't very funny, surely there's enough real comedians in the land of free speech to piss off better targets, like Stavros or Adam Friedland.

It's too bad those two can't get along, because they have one important thing in common: they're both immense douchebags.

[-] Malica@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 hours ago

They're also both narcissists, that may be related

[-] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago
[-] SpacePanda@leminal.space 4 points 1 day ago

This is rediculous, but, also really funny.

[-] NekoKoneko@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

The thing about douchebags is that they instantly repel other people, including other douchebags.

We can call it "the douchebags' dilemma."

[-] Rothe@piefed.social 1 points 15 hours ago

They do tend to gravitate towards each other when they know they can benefit from each other. But it is never a lasting relationship.

[-] sns@lemmy.dbzer0.com 43 points 1 day ago

Bill Maher is the Chuck Schumer of comedy.

[-] Malica@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 hours ago

He's the poster boy for centrist morons

[-] forkDestroyer@infosec.pub 4 points 13 hours ago

I remember years ago when he was into legalizing marijuana and I thought he was alright.

Sometimes when you fall, you fall hard I guess.

[-] SailorFuzz@lemmy.world 12 points 19 hours ago

Bill so badly wants to believe he's like George Carlin, when in reality he's more like Gallagher.

[-] pticrix@lemmy.ca 9 points 18 hours ago

I would cringe less having to watch a grown man destroy a watermelon with a mallet on stage, than having to listen even for a second to Bill Maher's self-important, disdainful and gross rhetoric and "jokes".

Broken clocks...etc....

[-] Uranus_Hz@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago

And right after Maher deepthroated the entire boot.

[-] Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 day ago

They're made for each other

[-] crusa187@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago

Well I’ll be damned, he finally Truth’d

Bill Maher will still get his own private cell in the new concentration camps. Conservatives always get special treatment, even when waiting to be executed.

Solitary confinement is torture.

Put him in a cell with Trump, and let them recover together.

[-] abc@suppo.fi -5 points 17 hours ago

Maher has been making a lot of sense lately.

"Centrists" are just useful idiots for fascists. Same goes for "libertarians."
