Unless he just opened his stupid fat mouth without having seen the show and assumed "doesn't fall for House's bullshit" means he had magical wisdom.
I think that's a crude way of putting it.
But I agree that simply labeling black characters "Magical Negros" is unconstructive.
My understanding is that Spike Lee coined the term to point out when black characters are tokenized in a way that diminishes them as full, realized characters. Was Foreman not given these relationships because the writers neglected his character? Or was this just because of who he was as a character? I didn't watch the show, so I'm genuinely asking.
I find John Coffey in the Green Mile a great case study. He literally is a magical negro. But also... constructively, what is the element of the film that needs corrected? Was his character disrespectful to black culture?
It didn't seem that way to me, but if someone else feels otherwise I'm open to that opinion.
Foreman had a long-term relationship with a member of the main cast who isn't depicted here in one of the later seasons (she didn't show up until Cameron mostly left the show), and imo he's a pretty fully realized character. For the most part they all are, House MD is a good show.

Also House definitely flirted with everyone in his own way, cause he loved finding their kinks and exploiting them:

- Chase and Cameron: daddy issues
- Cuddy: bratty sub
- Wilson: codependency
Spoilers for like a 20 year old show I guess, but House literally fakes his own death to run away into the sunset on his motorcycle with Wilson after Wilson is diagnosed with cancer. Literal ride or die couple. Admittedly partly to escape legal consequences, but he could have done that any way he wanted.
The show was based on the Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson dynamic, so faking his death aligned with the Reinbach Falls ending for Sherlock Holmes. It only made sense that House and Wilson road off into the sunset in their amazingly homoerotic subtext.
That last sentence is a doozy, lol
Except for the whole, “you killed my fiancé with Tylenol” part.
she killed herself by taking it. Wasn’t tylenole too. And it was the bus crash. Amber was with Wilson, cause she was in love with House and wanted to be as close to him as possible.
