Great. I'm already on month 15 of waiting for an appointment that the letter from the hospital told me was going to be a 6-8 month wait.
Seems we're in a "post truth" era here in New Zealand as well. This article has Luxon saying he doesn't want spin doctors and then Dr Shane Reti literally trying to spin this story.
The problem is that their voters believe every word they say.
National: strip-mines the public sector...
"Oh no, see - this doesn't work, the public sector can't do anything right. Obviously the solution is to privatise everything"
Why are we putting up with this shit?
My wife is a nurse. She has been doing 2-3 double shifts a week due to the ongoing nursing shortage, as have most of her colleagues. This plan means that her ward will be dangerously understaffed for every single shift.
I cannot comprehend how completely out of touch with reality this plan is.
You have to wonder what is going on in this government's heads.
