You're welcome. You can grok it if you read what I replied to, and then use media literacy to examine the negative spaces in my response; namely if all I gave are examples of what a story nee--Wait.

You're not being genuine, are you?

Do you really believe that the CIA "superiors" didn't know about the cover up stories and their necessity to chaff the signals up and dilute all of the coups, human trafficking, narcotics empire building, and more realistic ineptitude based fuck ups with wacky zany stories about staring at goats?

If so, their use of silly is working.

Sometimes I do it so hard, it gets too late to sleep, so sleep is cancelled.

Like yester--today.

1% is generous, in my opinion.

That's assuming they clear several hurdles and their little nightmare system works out to be the dream they want for them.

It won't. It'll be a dystopian nightmare for them too.

They always fuck up their goals and only end up closer by the sheer inertia and risk insulation that controlling our economic output gives them.

Then some bright and talented person who dreams of doing the right thing provides the missing links in their machinations and they either steal or buy them.

They made sure that wouldn't happen this time by preemptively trying to rob all of the brightness until those who can won't give them anymore, and those who will are slowly being cognitively robbed of the capability itself.

The AI taking over is both (as currently deployed) impossible and probably amongst the best outcomes, compared to the deathly wave of fucking ineptitude these chuds are unleashing and will continue to unleash.

Thank you Stamets, for standing up for what needs to be said and trying to further general education on this.

That's because this is the normal flow of things. Pare the mediums away, and you're left with the same basic core: Stories.

The storyteller always has a reason for telling a story. Even when they are only setting out to entertain.

To be able to separate one's actual feelings, knowledge, and values in order to write a purely entertaining tale, requires that the storyteller be aware of them. At which point they must then take an extra step to insert others.

What stories are, at their heart is the passing of an abstract message or purpose encoded in a surface pattern meant to be cognitively sticky.

The reason might be to teach the young in the tribe the seasonal crop patterns as it was thousands of years ago, as it still is in some places.

Or it could be a commentary on the social state of the times. Or any other thing.

But the other thing a story must be, is engrossing.

A good story must be entertaining or funny or terrifying. It must tug at the emotions of the listener in some way.

That's what makes it stick. That's how stories work.

There is nothing wrong with refusing to dig deeper into the meaning of a tale, especially if it's presented or done poorly. That turns it into a lesson.

But the best stories, it doesn't matter if you seek out the deeper meaning or not.

It'll be there regardless and so will the story, and if and when the listener grows, the meaning will make itself clear on the next recounting.

"Me: Oh a list of assholes to avoid, nice. Shopify, who tf is that? EZ. 1 keep sucks, lol. Dell...they make trash, easy. Meta, lol, already done. Coin base more like Rube Base am I right? Digital Ocean still relevant in the hosting world? I thought they'd have gone the way of Go Daddy, Ez boycott list."

"Brain: You skipped one."

"Me: reads again Fffffffffffuuuu"

I have no fucking clue how to effectively boycott CloudFlare, gang. That's...kinda the point of how they positioned themselves.

Stupid fucks, they're the only one who stands to make as much hand over fist whether open source enshitifies or not. Except if it enshitifies enough, their spigot stops spilling money.

Greedy cunts and the allure of control, what a dynamic duo.

The fuck to use to replace the quintillion different services CF sells?

Asking for...several friends, actually.

One should never engage in sounding as an escape for the ennui of life.

Once it gets old the only next step is to try to fill the hole in your life by filling all the holes at once. Then when that doesn't work you gotta work in electrification, macabre-sex circus acts, and hand holding.

Even more after that.

It never ends, and the slippery slope isn't your bum like every fella thinks, it's your pee hole.

This is a cautionary tale.

Lol.

These shameless smarmy fucks will literally re-run the same grift that's already in play just to reuse the talking points and sound bites.

Wow. I was mildly to cautiously optimistic after the reveal trailer a while back.

Now that excitement is completely gone.

I wanted The Wolverine not Fisher Price's Angy Weasel.

He could be found not guilty due to Presidential action all day long for not committing assault and battery for all I care.

So long as the boxing champ working for AXY news or whatever is also found to have acted in self defense in accordance to their jurisdiction after their reflexive and mighty right hook starts a needed constitutional crisis.

The courts can handle the absurdity.

Not that the presidential immunity is ok at all, far from it.

But there's a vital distinction between "Can't be charged for anything while performing Presidential duties" and "Anyone who exercises a legal right that crosses unto the protected person has that legal right deactivated".

Which...yes, pretty much is defacto currently for 99/100 things that any aggrieved party could claim as a grievance committed by the US. Gov, currently and effectively, I'm aware.

But unstoppable force meeting immovable mouth?

I feel codifying that too deeply would be a legal bridge too far.

Not for decency but because what it means for the puppeteering interests. The reporter would be more at risk of ending in a black site than a courtroom, imo.

Not only that, USPS is the only "major" carrier who will do so.
